Something that made sense
« on: October 16, 2006, 11:59:11 AM »
I was listening to Ancient Faith Radio last night and I heard a quote form a Saint, I know not who, ut the quote is as follows:

"The language of God is silence; everything else is a mistranslation".

This really touched me.

Blessings,
Panagiotis

Do you know who said it?
"If you give the average Frenchman a choice between a reforming president who would plug the country's huge deficit and a good cheese, he would probably opt for the cheese." - Stephen Clarke
I think the French may be on to something here.

You are right. I apologize for having sacked Constantinople. I really need to stop doing that.

Do you know who said it?
It was one of the early Church Fathers, but I can't remember which one. The actual quote is, I think: "The language of Heaven is silence..."
If you're living a happy life as a Christian, you're doing something wrong.

I really like that. Thanks for sharing it.

I came across this quote sometime back. It is by St. Francis of Assisi and reads "Preach the Gospel at all times, and when necessary, use words." I know he is Catholic, but believe the words are true. It makes me think about my actions, and just what they teach others about my faith.
