Dear in Christ,

St Anthony's Monastery recently updated their liturgy project:

http://stanthonysmonastery.org/music/Index.html

Now they have Vespers and the Divine Liturgies, in English (either Traditional or "Modern") in both Western notation (booo!) and Byzantine notation (yea!!!!!)  I think this is GREAT!

I'm impressed. How dare that Elder Ephraim to oversee such a project...Hehehe.

It's a great, very useful reference, and they chose some great pieces of music to use.

Holy Father Patrick, thank you for your help!

This really is a great work, and I'm glad it's available.

However, for folks like me who can't carry a tune in a sack, it's one more thing for parishioners to beat me over the head with while saying "Why can't you sound like this, Father?..."  Undecided

Well, that's why God made and provides His Church with so many chanters and other folks musically inclined!

Even when one can normally carry a tune, it still doesn't guarantee you'll sound good (as your poor metropolitan experienced when the ohio trio showed up for your ordination).
