I am a repentant homosexual and I struggle against my same-sex attractions.ÂÂ  So obviously I am not in "Axios".  In fact anyone who joins that group is excommunicated from the Orthodox Church.  I have found that in giving up myself to God I have gained infinitely more than I could ever imagine.

Your post from some time ago popped up.  I think it may be because there was a thread about an ordination, and the ordination, greeting, "Axios!" ("Worthy!") was sent by a long list of responders. I'm no Greek scholar, but maybe in the context of the organization that was mentioned, it means, "It is right."
One denomination calls its similar organization "Integrity."

I admire you for your willingness to struggle and suffer to be pleasing to Christ.  I'm single and "straight," but we all struggle with our own temptations.

I replied to your post because I run my parish's small bookstore, and noticed a new book in the Light and Life catalog called, Same Sex Attraction or something similar.  It's probably available on Amazon.  I haven't read it, but hope it will be helpful.

This thread has been locked by a colleague because  there is a moratorium on this site of any discussion concerning homosexuality until  after Pentecost.  Thank you.
