We were discussing a translation of the Liturgy into Klingon and Quenya amongst ourselves at Holy Cross...the one that stumped us was 'Lord have Mercy,' for surely there isn't a word 'Mercy' with positive connotations in the Klingon Language, so we were thinking it might have to translate to something like 'Lord Kill me with Honour' or 'Lord let me die Honourably.'
Hmm, interesting thought.  "Lord, bring me to Sto-va-cor"  "Lord, choq!" (according to the Klingon Language Institute choq is a verb meaning preserve or save.
I just found a joke in the list of new words, btw:
ghotI'  (n) fish, most general word for fish-like creature
(It's pronounced something like ggghhhoti though).http://www.kli.org/
In looking for some possible information, I was at "Memory Alpha" the Trek Wiki and found that there *IS* an explaination now of the difference between TOS Klingons and later ones.  See here:http://www.memory-alpha.org/en/index.php/Klingon
