O sweet Jesus, cleanse my soul.

« on: July 04, 2006, 10:52:49 PM »

Unfortunately I will be induced tomorrow morning...unless I go into labor before then. With my other two daughters I had natural labors so I am a little nervous about getting induced.  If any of you can say a quick prayer tonight or tomorrow morning for a safe delivery I would be most grateful.  I pray that it is God's will that everything goes smoothly.

blessings to you all,    Juliana Smiley

Holy Father Patrick, thank you for your help!

Please know that you, your family, and the caregivers involved are in my prayers.

I understand why you may be concerned about being induced, since it is a different experience for you and the unknown makes us nervous. However, God is everywhere, and will be especially with you in that delivery room.

Please don't forget to contact your priest for the blessings afterward! Also, keep us informed on developments!

Three of my kids were induced, and they were the smooth deliveries; the only anxieties or tragedies we had were when my wife was not induced, so to me the perspective is reversed! But these were unusual situations and you plus your new child will be fine.

Remember to rest as much as possible, and be aware of the 40 day period to allow you and the child to be sheltered as much as possible.

I'm praying...
I can't help but say that I am very excited for you. You know you can't compare any pregnancy to another- so I won't bore you with my story, but you need not worry about being induced if it need be done. Have confidence in your doctors and be at peace in your heart.
Another miracle from God!
How wonderful.

Prayers for your delivery and your child's first birth from your waters.
And prayers for the granting of their second birth in the Waters of Baptism.

Greetings All,

I wanted to send my sincere "thank you" for all your prayers.  My little girl "Sophia" was born at 3pm on Wednesday July 5th safe and sound.  Glory be to God!  Since my other two daughters (Isabel 6 and  Rowan 3) and I are recent converts this will be the only infant baptism of our family.  My poor husband now has to deal with 3 girls and a wife who are Orthodox...he is definitely outnumbered...but maybe God planned it that way. Thanks again for all the support and I will try to post a picture of the baby in the near future.

Many years to Sophia! My prayers are with you and your family as you recover and successfully integrate this newest member.

Ahh, yes...my youngest is also named Sophia, and this is indeed a wonderful name to have!

Julianna,
I am so happy for you!!!
And Sophia and your other 2 blessings... your husband is a blessed man. You are a very very wonderful woman.
I will say an extra prayer for your little one, the same one I said for mine when we took her home in the car- (I wanted to hold her, but had to deal w/ the whole car seat thing...)
I will PM you my silly prayer tomorrow.
But, in the meantime my thoughts are with your blessing from God.
Love from afar.,
Your RC friend.

Julianna,
Congratulations and Many Years to your new wee one!  I am so glad all went well.  out of 7, I have had a few inducings as well and it's frustrating.  I am glad all went well, and you enjoy your new little blessing every single minute.  Even the ones where you are so sleep deprived you can't draw another breath...they will pass too soon.  My last baby is dancing now and just started walking in April...  What a wonderful time.

Blessings,
