Moving Toward Orthodoxy

I have put up my first Icon,of Our Lord Jesus Christ,on a desk next to my bed,He is pointing to the scripture passage where He speaks of "the New Commandment",I have begun to cross myself,not sure if I am doing it correctly,I listen to Orthodox Music,the nearest Orthodox Church though is 60 MILES AWAY!!!!! but I have to do something,please pray for me!!!

You may want to watch some Orthodox Divine Liturgies online, so that you get a sense of what the worship is like and also see how people cross themselves (first the forehead, then the middle, then the right chest, then the left).

People tend to skip over this, but there is live broadcasts of the Liturgy from different churches available, and if your lucky sometimes there will be a special service that you can catch on the broadcast (sometimes vespers, or special parklisis if you are lucky.

And don't forget the weekly broadcasts (air and web) from receive.org -Come Receive the Light and, of course, Anciect Faith Radio. Orthotracts.org (member Dismas's site) is very good as well.

it shows liturgies from the Constantinople Patriarchate (church of St. George in Fanari). Unfortuantely for you, its all in greek (and some turkish) but it might be different to see "how it's done" in the old country.
