Coptic Calendar
« on: October 03, 2002, 04:33:19 PM »
Glory to Jesus Christ!

In the Coptic Church, today is 23 Thout 1719
The tune is the Annual Tune, the seasonal litany is the Waters of the Rivers.

The saints of the day are Ss. Eunapios and Andrew

I know this only because the Coptic Church decided to send me a calendar for the year, which I will soon be passing on to Mor Ephrem. However in making the forst post in this forum, I wanted to say something more than "FIRST POST!". God Bless us all!

Nik, I received a Coptic calendar for the year 2003 myself.  Unfortunately for me, unlike your English-language Coptic calendar, mine is entirely in Arabic and Coptic (probably an error on the sender's part), which I am unable to decipher.  So, if you know someone who could use it, please let me know.

I think I can find an Egyptian who would appreciate having it.

I would also like to familiarize myself with the Coptic feasts.

So I'll take you up on the offer.

Samer, just give me the name and snail mail address where to mail the calendar and it will be on its way.

Just to make others aware if you are interested in free Coptic Church calendars, you may obtain them from Fr. Antonious L. Henein by email: info@theotokos.org.  Specify English or Arabic language.  (Fr. Antonious is on the clergy staff of Holy Virgin Mary Coptic Orthodox Church in Los Angeles, CA.)
