Primary News Source?
« on: May 01, 2006, 12:18:18 AM »
I get mine from a mixture, though the primary one would be Talk Radio. Usually I listen to the news story as the conservatives comment on it, and then try to imagine what liberals would say if they were commenting on the report, then I figure out where the middle point would be between those two positions and go with that middle ground.

Primary source: NPR and BBC on radio; online, I read NRO, thenation.com, slate.com and aldaily.com.

What category would that be?

I'd say the "I wouldn't call any one source my primary on" if you get a lot from different places, but you know best. :)

The Net period, is where I go for my primary news sources, cable TV ? Don't think so they leave out a a lot of stories and they only cover small parts of every story and leave out lots of details, how about CNN, I remember the earthquake in Pakistan, they had a 2 minute clip on it, this was the same day it happened ! Right after that they had an hour program on Katrina which happened months earlier.

I agree with that, but if I had to choose from one source, I think you know my choice.  ;)

Normally, I get it from NPR and BBC online.  Newspaper wise, if it's a weekday the New York Times, if it's a weekend, the much more exciting New York Post.

I think the French may be on to something here.

I get most of my news from newpapers both on the "dead tree editions" and on-line editions.  That way I can get new and angles from other countries, too.  I have news bookmarks for several US papers (Including my home town in Montana), some alternative press, and papers in places like New Zealand, Australia, Japan, England, India and some others.

We also have an all-news radio station for the local stuff and traffic reports.
