How do you write and pronounce George in Greek?

Γιώργος Α. Παπανδρέου = "George A. Papandreou"
 
It is pronounced like "ghe-yourrr-go-s"

Just a quick question. Does the G at the beginning of the name sound the same as it does in the English name George? Or does it sound more like it does at the start of the name Gore, like Al Gore?

More like Gore - with a gutteral "your"

The "gio" at the beginning of George in greek is like saying "yo" but instead of the 'o' sounding like "oh" it is a short "o" - yo-rgo..... unless you go by the more ancient, Georgios
