Tonight ABC will be broadcasting the "new" Ten Commandments. I've seen the old Heston classic probably 20 times (or more).

Growing up, I always viewed it as a "Christian movie" that my family watched every year around Easter.

However, after moving to NYC and mixing with many Jews, I realized, Jews consider this a "Jewish movie".  My best friend (who is Jewish) insists, since the movie predates Jesus, it is more Jewish than Christian.

This is intended to be light, so please, lets keep it that way, I'd like to hear your opinions.  Thanks.

I get the impression that this is a remake of the Heston classic.  I look forward to seeing it, tho I really enjoyed the mini-series,Moses, The Lawgiver.  Sadly the full series was never released on VHS or DVD.
