Dear Friends,

I would like to ask for your prayers for myself and my brother Indian seminarians this weekend as we fly to Dallas, Texas for the ordination of one of them to the diaconate.  Please keep the candidate also in your prayers.

If anyone reading this will be in the Dallas area this weekend, PM me...it would be nice to meet up if at all possible.

Thanks,

Phil

Lord, have mercy on you all!
"If you are going to serve the Lord, be prepared for times when you will be put to the test. Be sincere and determined. Keep calm when trouble comes. Stay with the Lord; never abandon Him and you will be prosperous at the end of your days. Accept whatever happens to you. Even if you suffer humiliation, be patient. Gold is tested by fire and human character is tested in the furnace of humiliation. Trust the Lord and He will help you. Walk straight in His ways and put your hope in Him. " Sir 2:1-6

Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference.

Lord have mercy.

Grace of God be with you all.
Vain existence can never exist, for "unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain." (Psalm 127)

If the faith is unchanged and rock solid, then the gates of Hades never prevailed in the end.

Thanks be to God, and to all of you for your prayers.  I made it back to NY safely, and am now busy with school work, such as writing my homily for Matins tomorrow morning.   :-\

My apologies to Pedro for not calling him when I was in Dallas.  We got in very late, and ever since it was one big whirlwind of church stuff.  I would not have had time to see you even if I had called.  But my short stay in Dallas was awesome, and I hope to fly down there sometime later this year (possibly the summer), at which time I hope to have a chance to meet you and your family.
