What price would you say is a reasonably priced sticharion?
That is the greater question. I Got a sticharion and an orans for $189 as a subdeacon set.
What you see as reasonable is the importnat point.

Formerly, at least, the vestments were linen, hempen or of natural silk, but now, sadly enough, most of them are of polyester. So, they should be cheaper considering the fabric.

I think about 150 or less (each) would suit my budget for now- I would like to get two. One darker for Lent, one bright for "normal" periods..........

I see, but the shipping costs might be more expensive.

Get them from Georgia. You could probably get a good quality set for $50. Even with shipping (although, burdening a Georgian friend is cheaper) it will be much cheaper than buying them anywhere else.

Are there any ecclesiastical tailors who you know from Georgia that do business over the Internet?

Good points. Are you allergic to polyester for example? If you sweat a lot or are in a warm climate polyester really holds the stink. Look for natural fibres or at the very least a blend.

Not that I know of. There's a very good shop right next door to the Sameba (Trinity) Cathedral in Tbilisi. I'll have a look round and see if I still have their number. I bought a antiri there. Good quality fabric, made to measure, only £30. In Greece the same thing will cost you £150 at least.

If you want to buy local, American Church Supply has reasonably-priced sticharia.
