My sister sent me this, but I think many people here would also find this interesting since it is about the most traditional Catholic monks, that spiritually still have a close kinship to traditional Orthodox monasticism...  when the movie comes out here, I plan to go see it.

Has anyone seen Bridge at Remagen? It was on an off-shoot movie trying to compete with John Wayne movies in 66 but it was worth watching a great war movie that I saw in high school. Being filmed in Germany it had beautiful scenery and I hope to travel there sometime to see that.

I think you will find that much of the movie was filmed in Czechoslovakia, not Germany.  However, I have been to that area, specifically to Linz (the town on the other side of the river).  The lay of the land there, even the remaining towers of the bridge, are almost exactly like they are in the movie.
