Most Holy Theotokos, save us!

« on: January 26, 2006, 04:53:05 PM »

Greetings in Christ:

My girl and I have been discussing marriage very seriously as of late.  We had originally planned to get married in Summer 2007, but the way things are looking, there's a possibility that it will be in early January next year.  Emotionally, we're both ready for this.  The financial issue is another thing.  I've got very supportive family, thank God, but both her and I need to save as much as possible in order to make this work.  (Not that our relationship is based on money; it's not, Christ is the center, but it's just a fact of life that you need to be able to provide for your family).  At that point, I'd still have another semester or so of college left, while she is pretty much just starting her education.  I'm not sure what sort of stress (if any) that would place on a newly wedded couple; perhaps some of you have experience in that area.  Anyway, please pray for us (Michael and Melanie) so that the Lord may guide us to marriage when He sees that we are capable of handling such a commitment.  Thank you all.

In Christ,

Michael

Lord have mercy.  Patience and understanding are certainly important in your situation.
