Friends,

We just added the new frontpage.  Between me designing it and the implementation, the software was updated and the new version has produced some kinks in my template.  Therefore, I will have to spend some time over the next few days working out the kinks. But if you want to check it out go to www.orthodoxchristianity.net .

None of the content is functional right now but I left up the generic content in case anyone wants to get a feel for the system we are going to be implementing.

Phase III will integrate this content management system with the board for seamless account control, etc.

Cool Smiley I don't really have much to say I guess, but I wanted to post something as a bit of encouragement.

Out of curiosity, the copyright statement at the bottom of the page said...

Since you said "this site" generally, are you implying that since this is indeed a private forum, and you (in a sense) publish the posts on the forum, that everything that someone writes on the forum becomes your intellectual property, and we must seek permission from you to quote something elsewhere? I don't mean to be reading into anything, I'm just curious because I know other businesses are run that way (ie. the artist gives up certain rights to his work in return for someone else publishing and distributing the work). Or did you just mean that formal articles, essays, etc. written by OC.net admins/mods and placed in specific places (other than the forum) are under copyright?

No, I didn't mean the forum.ÂÂ  What I meant was the articles and stuff.ÂÂ  The forum is for free discussion and each person is both the proprietor of and liable for his own words Smiley  I'll probably be modifying that copyright; my intent was to make it clear that anyone could copy the code I wrote (which I release to the public domain) but not the articles.
