I am a huge tennis fan, and one of my favorite players is Elena Dementieva of Russia. I've been googling around forever trying to find out if she is Orthodox but can't find any comments at all about religion. Her personal site is in Russian only and I was wondering if kind-hearted Russian speaking poster might help me. Could you check out her site and see if there is any mention of religion? Her site is located at http://www.dementieva.ru/ Yes, I know, it is silly, but I can't help it.

There is a biography on there but it's not very personal, it mainly speaks about her tennis wins and losses and doesn't mention her religion as far as I can see. Maybe another website will have some information or maybe a russian will know more about her.

Good news (maybe?) I think she is Orthodox because of what I read on this chat web page: (3/4 of the way down the page)

but maybe someone who is better at Russian can confirm or clarify though.

Thanks for the help. I really do appreciate it. I just thought it would be neat if she was since I'm such a big fan of hers.
