I spent my New Year's Eve at my Catholic parish, got dressed up in the
amphea (or are they called rasa, the ones that laymen wear when helping
the priest at mass?) and had one of the best masses I can recall. The Church
was filled with people (most of them German and Greek), suprisingly, and
the whole atmosphere helped me remember that above all I am a Christian
and that as much as I am afraid that God might want me to become a priest
and (like in the case of JPII) even make me have some difficult time till I give
in, still... His will be done! I confessed and I still feel a much better person
since I haven't repeated any "big" sin since 31-December.
Also, after attending mass (and recieving communion), I found the flouri
in the vasilopita, probably a sign (or just luck
) that this year is going to be
a much better one since I entered 2006 with a clean soul.
Just thought of sharing my new year's experience and waste some web
space and bandwidth.
Happy New Year everyone!
