If you are going to join, that's who I would recommend.  Them or the Coast Guard.  Personally, I'd say Coast Guard.

I often use the "Who's Online" thing to spy on what thread everyone's reading.
Yeah me too.

Now what are the "Hidden" ones up to?

I dunno. What's the reason for using the "Hidden" option anyway?

The good news is, I just started my fourth book.  The bad news is, I never finished the first three.  Maybe number four is the charm. Undecided

What is even worse is, when my computer crashed, I lost all of the stuff from the first three.  Not really that much of a loss.  Two had hardly anything done and the one which did was a political book.  Since I stopped keeping up with politics, it was never going to be finished anyway.  One of the other two I still have some notes for, so I suppose I could start over.  Right now, I think I will keep working on this one and see where it leads.  I think I have a pretty good start.  Maybe I will keep it a little shorter than the other ones.  That way, I may actually finish.

Tomorrow I'm participating in the national debate contest for those around 20 . That means I'll have to face off against some pretty bright persons.

Be sure to convert them all to Orthodoxy just as St. Catherine did before you.

And thus it is written:

Quote from: Acts of Cyrillic 14:1-14
And they took him and brought him to the stage, saying, “May we know what this new doctrine is of which you speak?  For you are bringing some strange things to our ears. Therefore we want to know what these things mean.”  For all the Dutchmen and the foreigners who were there spent their time in nothing else but either to tell or to hear some new thing.

Then Cyrillic stood in the midst of the contest and said, “Men of The Hague, I perceive that in all things you are very religious;  for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription:

TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.

Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you:  “God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.  And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;  for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’

Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising.  Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,  because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”

And then all said amen and converted to Orthodoxy.

I'm guessing that a "crappy bear" means bear covered in crap. Sounds like a humiliating and degrading meal to have. From what I know of you and your proclivities, you should see if you can find a gay top to force you to eat it.

To pleasant songs my work was erstwhile given, and bright were all my labours then;
but now in tears to sad refrains am I compelled to turn.
Thus my maimed Muses guide my pen,
and gloomy songs make no feigned tears bedew my face.
Then could no fear so overcome
to leave me companionless upon my way.
They were the pride of my earlier bright-lived days:
in my later gloomy days they are the comfort of my fate;

So in lieu of doing work, I decided to look up my ancestors. Turns out my last name used to be French before it was Germanized, and some of my greatx3 uncles fought in rebellion against the United States. I am a child of frogs and rebs. And now I'm sad.

Also, there are inconsistencies in the different sites I read, which frustrates me.

My family didn't arrive here until the late 1800's, makes me sad I don't have as much American history.

The local elephant mom is in labor again. YAY! This town gets a baby elephant for Christmas! More importantly, this "little" guy gets a sibling:

What happened to celticfan1988? Dude deleted his Facebook too.

Indeed. I know he had some problems with his mom, and apparently his fiancee too. Perhaps he needs some time off the internet.

It is an education process for me as I learn about the psychology of spiritual apostasy. And others get the benefit of perhaps hearing righteousness for the first time.

Can people stop this?

+1ing anything that is remotely personal is nearly as bad ppl liking words of condolence on FB.

And while I am at.

People stop with the internet obsessing about where people are or have gone.

It is the internet.

If you are truly friends you will know what is going on with most people. You will be hard press to avoid their physical presence in your daily or weekly life.

internet boardz, FB, whatever ain't where friends are made nor cultivated, and if the exceptional case happens where it is, you will not be left wondering about someone's status.

And if you find yourself so dependent as to wonder about a stranger's state of affairs, try PMing them or emailing them rather than making public announcements so more can speculate on the person's state of affairs.

If they don't answer your PMs or emails, take the hint that either they don't want to speak with you or are in a state where the cannot or prefer not.
