Lol, I like that. Along the lines of definitions of such things, I once saw this posted on another site... That's it! I'm running for office! I hereby announce my candidacy for King of the Nerds! I have the intelligence, the obsession with weird fields of interest, and the social ineptitude that make me more than qualified for this office.

Round 2 tonight... Competing against speakers from as many as four clubs outside of my own.
How'd it go? I won. (My nerdy brand of humor got a lot of laughs. ) Next round: the division contest on October 21. If I win that, I go on to the District 7 finals. Cool Good luck! To celebrate my hard-earned victory, I'm drinking down an Arrogant Bastard Ale. (I hate it, though, when that first sip is nothing but bubbles that get stuck in your gullet and make a very painful attempt to work their way up. BURP!)

When I read this thread, I really wanted to post this image... ...but I decided against it, since it seems like there could be some actual discussion of the points. I was going to burst if I didn't post a burt stare somewhere, though. Thank goodness for Random Postings!

Some neighbors were playing with one and invited me to try it out when I showed an interest in watching what they were doing. I figured I couldn't finish my life without saying I at least tried using a pogo stick. So what if I fall on my keester and skin my hands a bit?

Peter, lol - wouldn't that make a great "Table Topics" question for Toastmasters? (And I've got a few bumps and bruises myself from trying to use a Razor Scooter, so I can't throw stones!)

I've just crossed 5 posts per day. I got scared. I used to average 12 posts a day. In the early days, I had over 50 posts (one day, I pushed a 100 posts) which meant that I had no life.

My best friend has told me that he is sleeping with a 40 year-old woman who he met on the internet and who lives 180 km away in Silesia... I have no idea what to make of this.. She is his intoxication, he wastes all his money on her. I do not want to think about this but perhaps it is better not to judge, or is it?
If you are really close, you can, in an warm way, and stressing it's your opinion, comment with him that this is not a healthy relationship and explain why you think so. Don't press the issue, don't insist if he says he doesn't want your opinion, and, in case he allows you to explain why, pay attention to his reactions as you speak to know if it's not turning against your desired aim which is to be heard. Don't return to the subject if he doesn't listen and, as a friend, be prepared to be by his side when things start going wrong. In the meantime, don't show your opposition to it or to his "friend", but don't force yourself to show support.

How'd it go? I won. (My nerdy brand of humor got a lot of laughs. ) Next round: the division contest on October 21. If I win that, I go on to the District 7 finals. Round 3 tonight. Got a lot of laughs throughout my final practice run last night, so I know I'm ready.

Round 2 tonight... Competing against speakers from as many as four clubs outside of my own.
How'd it go? I won. (My nerdy brand of humor got a lot of laughs. ) Next round: the division contest on October 21. If I win that, I go on to the District 7 finals. Round 3 tonight. Got a lot of laughs throughout my final practice run last night, so I know I'm ready. Keep us posted! And, is there a way we could get a YOUTUBE preview or something? I for one would love to see your set! The run is done, even though my speech was the best I'd ever done and got just as many laughs as the contest winner's. Now it's time for me to focus on my next big project: a 12-month contract to test printer software for a big local printer manufacturer. The new job starts next Wednesday.

Caffeine withdrawal sucks.
Feels like your head wants to split in half?
