It figures that, after 15 or 20 minutes of searching, I finally find the three bar Orthodox cross necklace I'd like to buy... and it's on a Catholic website  Cheesy
I love the three bar cross!!! My brother has a tatto of a byzantine cross and a very holy priest who has passed away last year had given me his a year or two before passing.

Look at this video, and then you'll know how I felt when the Orthodox church negotiated relationships/ecumenism with the Vatican

That may indeed be the point: It is nice to have at least 1 place on this forum where you are not expected to be serious.

I went to set up a website today and they said that holophotal.net is already taken. What the heck? It doesn't look taken to me!  Angry Cheesy Smiley

Remember, the name may have been purchased, but the site may not be "live."  I hope you have more success with your next choice in name.

I have a math final tomorrow to study for, things to write and edit, books to read, prayers to say, television programs that are DVR'd to watch, and all sorts of other stuff to do... and what did I do all night? Sat at my computer and surfed OC.net, waiting for someone to make another post. Blah!  Cheesy Cool

Yeah, OC.net needs to add a disclaimer:

WARNING! This website may be addictive!  Wink

I used to read constantly until I discovered this site. But I can say that I have definitely learned a lot from this forum. Smiley

Cool Smiley I just ordered the cross I had mentioned before, from clearlycatholic.com...

Very beautiful! I will have to look at the crosses thet have. The cross that was given to me by a the priest has an icon of the crucified Christ engraved on the front, and St. Peter on the back.

If it helps any, I have finals also...

If I have the book open and in front of me, I'm studying. Regardless if I look at it or not!

Wow, finals already. We've still got three weeks left. I've really got to get into teaching college classes.

I take evening classes... They all end May 12. Tongue

Anyways, over summer, I was thinking of self-learning Arabic or Russian. My only issue with Arabic is it seems so focused on the Qur'an.

Yeah, I know what you mean. English is just such a Christian language that no one can possibly say anything against it in English. Roll Eyes

Yes, a language and culture go together. No, this is not a reason to have an "issue" with a language.

Our classes end May 5th, but the Summer classes start May 17th, so I won't get much of a break!  Angry Grin
