Palindrum: n. any action by which someone suddenly and inexplicably quits their job and even more inexplicably becomes more popular: Lou Dobbs' palindrum unexpectedly sent the ratings for his time slot to a level not before seen on cable TV.

Italy got through, who cares about the rest.

I have to admit, England will be interesting to watch in the World Cup with Capello at the helm now.

Lol, well I don't know about zing. It has a certain soberness to it, without being stodgy. But admittedly it's not as eye catching as, say, "resident atheist" or "arch protestant".  :)

:)  Don't Deans have be be appointed or chosen as opposed to claiming the title on their own?   If so, I guess it would be the Moderators and Admins who would be the committee...  ;D

If you happen to be the first Dean, you can appoint yourself and name your successor as needed.  We wouldn't want to have candidates and elections on this forum <insert whistling smiley here>.

If so, I guess it would be the Moderators and Admins who would be the committee...  ;D

Come on, that's not the American way. Just look at the way Americans have screwed up reinvented the martial arts, with all sorts of people creating their own styles and declaring themselves super duper 10th dan supreme grand masters. Just declare yourself dean, and ignore the naysayers!  :P

Titles higher than archon are worth between 1/1000 and 1/10 of a cent, depending on the title and the amount of dividends you've re-invested.

Yes, and long have I lamented the devolution of this forum into so-called "Eastern Orthodoxy". I should have seen it coming when they changed the name in the middle of the night from byzantines.com to orthodoxchristianity.com. Ahh, how I long for the good old days!
