Sardines are too salty - might as well eat Doritos.   Smiley
Sardines are an excellent source of Omega-3 fatty acids.
Whereas Doritos are an excellent source of artificial colouring.

There are natural and organic alternatives to Doritos with less sodium and no artificial coloring.

Not the same. The body absorbs vitamins from food differently than from capsules. I have a class in five minutes, so I can't go looking for evidence right now, but I'll try to find a good article tonight.

Sure are! We love the blue corn chips we get from our organic grocer.

Which I take as a supplement, but I still like fish meat better.  You can actually chew fish.  (Well, you can chew the capsules, too, but I wouldn't advise it.)

Of course, if you really like salty, try eating anchovies right out of the can.  One pound of salt for every ounce of fish.  Blech! Tongue  No amount of beer can wash away the salt taste of that.

Well, I have seen people eating Doritios in Sardinia and Sicily, sometimes with sardines too.  Tongue

The MSG in Doritos gets to me these days.  It never bothered me before although I wasn't paying much attention back then.

Never liked sardines.  I'd rather have my farm raised Tilapia from Sam's Club.   Grin

Yeah, I will admit that sardines by themselves or in mere olive oil are rather bland.  You really need to have them canned in mustard or hot sauce for them to taste good.

Well, you shouldn't eat beetles.  They are known to cause irregularity...which often leads to hemorrhoids.

Yup.  There are peoples in this world from whom you will never hear the statement, "We won't eat that."
There is a saying in China: "We will eat anything on four legs, except the table."
I think it was also in China where I heard someone joke that you'll never hear them say, "We won't eat that part of the animal."  I remember eating a chicken stew there where they threw in every part of the bird, save for the feathers--yup, they threw in even the head and feet.

I thought cat was the other white meat.
Squirrels are the other white meat! Don't tell my many cats differently. ( I am considering carpeting my attic with landmines to deter squirrels from entering.  Squirrels are agents of Satan. I have proof of their destructive abilities.)

At "Dim Sum" meals in Chinese restaurants, I've seen both chicken and duck feet.  Cooked and in the case of the duck wrapped around a filling.
