Metropolitan Isaiah rides a Harley to his cathedral in Denver. It is said that he was part of a biker gang in his past. Not sure if there's any real truth to that part but i've seen him ride the bike personally...good times.
Please post a picture of hin on Harley.

When I was very young, we had a 10-inch B/W that received three channels, and fuzzy at that. No remote. Sure, now we have a remote about the size of Kansas, but 1080i....worth it.

We have a "Wandering Remote", that is the children put it down or carry it about and forget where it is. I've pondered attaching it to a cinder block or a bowling ball or a plank of wood so that it might be a bit easier to find.

Don't they make a watch that's a universal remote? I think i've seen those somewhere...that might be a nice solution. Although in a lot of ways i like your solutions better.

Some TVs have a remote finder. It's a button on the TV that causes your remote to beep repeatedly until you push a button on the remote. It can be useful as long as you don't have curious toddlers.

We have a portable/wireless phone set where the handsets can be made to beep in order to find them. Of course if they've run out of power they don't say a thing.

If child = remote control, then remote control = lost happens much less frequently. (If a cousin can have his 2 year old son go and fetch him a beer in a tavern in Greece, the possibilities are endless...)

I wish I could just go up to the TV and push the buttons when the remote is lost. Unfortunately, these days they force us to be dependent on the dern things. I'll be right there at the DVD player, putting in the disc, but I can't just reach over and push the play button because there isn't one.

Yay! We reached three, that's so awesome and-- *ducks*
P.S.: Besides ducking, is man able to "chicken"?

Definitely. Every school-age boy has taunted another for chickening out.

"Remember when the [TV] remote was three buttons? Now it's like an honors math calculator... 'I'm just tryin' to find VH1, not split an atom!'" ~ Jim Gaffigan Remember when the TV remote was "Hey (insert name), could you go up there and flip the TV to channel 8?" I do. When I was very young, we had a 10-inch B/W that received three channels, and fuzzy at that. No remote. Sure, now we have a remote about the size of Kansas, but 1080i....worth it. Even better, how about being made to climb on the roof and turn the antenna to get a better picture, with my little brother yelling out the window "He said a little more" Now that brings back memories. Or after the latest ice storm has coated the antenna, climbing out there with a dull knife to chip off the inch of ice. Or reattach the thing to the roof.

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. -- Douglas Adams
