This is too funny!  An NCAA men's basketball player submits his name for the NBA draft, and the NBA actually tells him to go away!

And to think, we assumed "any publicity is good publicity."  Guess the NBA doesn't think so.

Filene's doesn't exist anymore but Filene's Basement does - under different ownership.

As an aside - $1 bet on the first four finishing horses in the Kentucky Derby would have grossed $278,500.  After 40% reduction for taxes, that's still a cool $160,000.

On any of the first 4?  What about if you had just bet on the first horse?  Just curious.  Not really sure how all this betting stuff works.

Wrath sounds good. Great wrath, not so good. Big, humongous eternal constant wrath, even worse.

How about a nice crumb cake instead?

As an aside - $1 bet on the first four finishing horses in the Kentucky Derby would have grossed $278,500.  After 40% reduction for taxes, that's still a cool $160,000.

On any of the first 4?  What about if you had just bet on the first horse?  Just curious.  Not really sure how all this betting stuff works.

I recommend the How to Bet on Horses website for a more detailed explanation.

In the example I used, a Superfecta is picking the first 4 finishers in set order.

Learn enough about horse handicapping and betting and you can become a pro at Suffolk Downs, next to the Blue Line of the T.   Grin

The name that all of you so discourteously have been slinging is sacred....from now on it will be referred to as:T, or do are all of you wish to bring wrath upon us all?

It is sacred?

T is sacred?

Why not U?

Are "monkies" anything like "monkeys"?  Wink
No, they're short bald men in robes. "Monkees," however are quite different.
