Of course - the great mish-mosh thread... But I think I've said it before - it is nice to have a thread of nothing, to help distract one from all the seriousness and battling that can go on elsewhere on the site...
Yes, the posters here leave the "hammer and tongs" at the door before they add something in this thread. Ebor

Absolutely... and the only purpose this thread has is to add more posts to the site, and provide frivolous talking time... I think it is in the top 4 right now, but at the pace at which it is growing, it will be #1 before too long...

Okay, I have four status reports to dictate, and 3 appeals pending.
I'm looking for some useful information (here) that might inspire me to do some work, unfortunately the perpetual dilly-dallying continues.

*Taking out moderator rule book*
Rule 247(a), Subsection iii, point heading 1.3
Concealing the straight jacket moderation, is only to be undertaken in cases where imminent harm to another member is at risk.
I think we can both agree, Zoe's behavior, although troubling, did not present "imminent harm" to any other members.  Although I applaud your zeal to apprehend her, we must follow all appropriate rules according to the "Doctrine of Dustin".

We should not question the sanity of the Metropolitan of Metaxa and All Brandy, Overstepper of All Bounds, Cheif Secretariat of the Holy Synod of Spirits, Chairman of the Committee on the Education of the American Public to the Acceptability of Drinking by Those Under the Age of 21 in Other Parts of the World (or CEAPADTUA21OPW for short, or EAADU21W for shorter, or CAD21 for shortest), and Undersecretary to the Chairman of the Committee on the Feasability of Providing Proper Drinking Accessories and Attire to Those in the Developing World and the Antarctic Wildlife (the Committee is also known as DressWildBooze).

But none shall be superior to those propogated by the Committees of the Holy Synod of Spirits - I think the Supreme Pontiff should comment on this and some of the other recent developments here- including the supreme threat posed by bears.

While Our Inebriatedness the Supreme Pontiff of All Alcohol reserves the right to pontificate on all Alcohol related issues, we wish not to offer a Bull that would concern Bears until we have heard from the synod's current canonical expert on all bear related issues, His All-Imbibedness the Metropolitan of Mead and all Beer.

Oh, true - I have neglected to address directly the Synodal Chairman of Canonical Issues Involving Bears (CIIB) - His All-Imbibedness +CHRIS, Metropolitan of Mead and all Beer, Exarch of the Supreme Pontiff to Bavaria and the German Lands. Whenever he encounters this, I hope he comments on the direct threat posed by Bears to the way of life that we so enjoy, including (but not limited to) their effect on brewing, distilling, and transporting Alchohol.

Well, in this now title-holder for longest thread, we've:
had drinking camaraderie, talked about drinking camaraderie, pontificated, discussed asian fish and alchohol, made associations, pontificated some more, and duscussed ad nauseum about how this thread is about nothing, and will continue to be such
