What do people who don't read have advertised to them on their Kindles?

Looks like some of the former metropolitan Jonah’s most ardent have converted to Islam. How supremely funny is that lol

I hadn't thought of that when I asked :-X  For some, what Ainnir said, I suppose. For me, when I was first given one as a gift, I didn't plan on using it to do much reading, and figured I'd just use it as a portable way to play simple games. Maybe that's what some people see: ads for games like Candy Crush.

Aww, that's sweet! I had a Great-Aunt Mae. That's one of those names that seems to have fallen out of fashion.

Well, today I graduated from college and now I’m saying goodbye to that college one last time - a day of joy for moving in but sadness for leaving my “golden years” behind me.

For me personally, I do read my Kindle, and it's so old it doesn't have ads, anyway.  :D  I'd have to get the Fire out to see if it has ads for me...

Talking to each other two men, one says:
"Do you want me to make an Englishman, a Frenchman, and a Russian throw themselves from this bridge into the Thames?"
- Come on!
The man comes to the Frenchman and says:
- Your mistress ran away from you, the wife left to another, having taken away all your Bank cards.
Frenchman:
- I don't need to live anymore! - and rushes to the Thames.
Coming to the Englishman:
- Authorities seized a group of conspirators, you are in the country removed by the Parliament, made an absolute monarchy, and closed all the liberal Newspapers. Englishman:
- I don't need to live anymore! - and rushes to the Thames.
Is coming to Russian and says:
- Do you know that it is forbidden to rush into the Thames here?
- What?! - speaks Russian and thrown into the Thames.

A Frenchman would merely call the banks to close the cards and obtain a new mistress, the customer service rep on the line.

They also would probably knock down candles and burn down their own homes.

Candles and a post-coital cigarette are essential in pleasure.

Don't be too harsh with knocking over candles.  Orthodox do it all the time.

Camping is for people of the past; before 21st century; don't do it!

Nay. It is best to prepare for the coming days. Flee to the hills (and practice)!

All the tips I'm finding on "winter camping" are for feet of snow...  :o  I guess for merely freezing temperatures: layers, and hope it doesn't rain.  At least food spoilage is less of a concern.  Anyway, there's always hotels strategic failure.  ;D
Oh hey!  It rained.  A lot.  One night for about 12 hours straight.  I smashed my finger because I forgot a hammer and foolishly took an 11-year-old's advice to use a rock instead.  But!  No one starved or got hypothermia, and we stuck it out like stubborn mules.  I learned how to make coffee in a cast iron kettle and the food was decent.  Huzzah!

Someone, please remind me to only ever post on OCNet when using my Unicomp/IBM Model M keyboard.

it is so much nicer than the iPad or indeed every other keyboard; the click of the patented buckling-spring switches is like sweet music (of course that patent has lapsed, and there is a somewhat decent keyboard at WalMart, of which I naturally obtained an instance, which has a very Model M-like feel, but is backlit; the main problem with that keyboard is the key widths are a tad unusual, resulting in peculiar ergonomics vis a vis alignment, and slightly trickier typing, but it looks awesome).

You know, at the end of a super packed day, all I want to do is wash our clothes, and I can’t.  Why?  Because there is no guest laundry room.   ???  So I’m just going to sit here and stuff my face with pretzels.  It’s the only logical response.
Is any of the above Orthodox?  I have no idea, so there’s that.

MY HEAD IS FILLED WITH LOUD CRAZY THOUGHTS
"May the Lord our God remember in His kingdom all Holy Catholic Apostolic Church, which heralds the Word of Truth and fearlessly offers and distributes the Holy Oblation despite human deficiencies and persecutions moved by the powers of this world, in all time and unto the ages of ages."

May the Blessed Light shine Forth

Lot of people venerating Kosmos for Pentecost.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Once Christ has filled the Cross, it can never be empty again.
