Many belated birthday wishes to Volnutt :)

Oh, hey, I just saw this. Thanks! :)

I bought an Alphasmart Neo 2 and a copy of Stand on Zanzibar by John Brunner. The latter arrived, still waiting for the former.
Christ my God, set my heart on fire with love in You, that in its flame I may love You with all my heart, with all my mind, and with all my soul and with all my strength, and my neighbor as myself, so that by keeping Your commandments I may glorify You the Giver of every good and perfect gift. Amen.

I've had first time in my life a dream with Arabic Lebanese dialect in it. But the funny thing is that the person speaking in this dialect was... Metropolitan Sava, the head of the Polish Orthodox Church.

It seems to be result of a joke of one of my friends from last summer, when I'd been preparing documents for theological studies in Lebanon and had to translate them to Arabic and the friend said that I should be careful as who knows, it may turn out that our metropolitan knew Arabic, as he loved such surprises.

Coffee hour conversations are already revolving around lenten food.

Uploaders need the ad revenue, especially nowadays. Only the likes of Jake Paul get YouTube Red kickbacks.

How much of the ad income do creators receive from YT Red versus their AdSense income? Doesn't it matter more on how many minutes are watched?

Minutes watched is for the visibility algorithm. I don't think you get any Red money unless you've actually got a show on Red.

Yes, but I don't really have the cash to give to peoples's Patreons.

When everything is demonetized, it doesn't matter.

Yep, that seems to be the way it's going, especially with the current "with think you're a pedophile if a pedophile commented within 100 yards of your video in the last 5 years," thing.

Until then, though, every little bit helps.

Did some quick googling on this, it can work out to where you could possibly make more having YT Red watchers than those watching for free with ads.

But if you are serious about creating YT videos to sustain a living you will want to look for ways to monetize outside of AdSense. 10 years ago you could make $10-14k/mo, but now its somewhere between 400-800 a month.

I'd love to get in on that Twitch stream action. The top broadcasters have like no personality or charisma, and they pull in so many subscribers to make six figures a year. But I refuse to play games like Fortnite

Take the dream with caution it could (and most likely is) a deception from The Devil and his angels

O Lord our God, in Whom we believe, and Whose Name we invoke above every name, grant us, as we go to sleep, relaxation of soul and body, and keep us from all dreams, and dark pleasures; stop the onslaught of the passions and quench the burnings that arise in the flesh.  ;)

Maybe it’s because I’m a dark pleasure that girls don’t dream of me.

To where the destination lies and from where it comes is a matter of perspective in the eyes of the person. This is all based on to where to go and from where something comes from. But nothing about where here is or where from there is can be really defined at all, it is just there and back from where it comes to where it goes. Is the destination therefore the same when the perspective shifts from person to person or from there to there or from here to here? Is there no path of where to go from here to there or from there to here?

Probably. It's not atypical where it seems that Video Game Music has stolen music or has been inspired by other sources.

Christ my God, set my heart on fire with love in You, that in its flame I may love You with all my heart, with all my mind, and with all my soul and with all my strength, and my neighbor as myself, so that by keeping Your commandments I may glorify You the Giver of every good and perfect gift. Amen.

The most famous example for me is the case of Ice Cap Zone from Sonic 3. There's a lot of mystery in terms of the composition of Sonic 3's soundtrack because there's a lot of evidence and people claiming that Michael Jackson was directly involved in the composition of the music, but in 1993 the Pedophilia allegations led Sega to leave him uncredited, and Sega still denies to this day that Michael Jackson was involved in the composition of the OST.

In 2009, Fervor Records released a select number of unreleased singles from the band "The Jetzons," and what was interesting was this track:

For Comparison:

Now Brad Buxer, who was a keyboardist for the Jetzons, was the Musical Director for Michael Jackson. So....
"I haven't any right to criticise books, and I don't do it except when I hate them. I often want to criticise Jane Austen, but her books madden me so that I can't conceal my frenzy from the reader; and therefore I have to stop every time I begin. Everytime I read 'Pride and Prejudice' I want to dig her up and beat her over the skull with her own shin-bone."

The video I linked you makes the claim that the Star Man theme from Super Mario Bros. was taken from Jesus Christ Superstar.
And it's kind of hard to dismiss the claim...

Nothing's strange in Nintendoland when it appears that this is the source.

Okay, now I'm going to reveal how geeky I really am when it comes to Video Games.

The most bizarre case of "being inspired" from a source for me, undoubtedly, is the Sonic Rush final boss theme, which uses samples from one of Malcolm X's speeches.

Like John Lennon, right? (Insert Mario hallucinogenic drugs joke here).

Language nerds, help me out.

Why are implosives and ejectives classed as non-pulmonic consonants when it's literally impossible to make them without breathing lol? I mean, I can understand calling a click non-pulmonic...
