I wish Popcorn had been my elder, had he been Orthodox.  Rest in peace.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Actually, that's interesting if there are some Annas named after this Anna. I think, usually they get this name after the Mother of the Theotokos.

It's Anna in English? In Finnish it's with an H i.e. Hanna. Weird to see it spelled that way.
I just need to find out how to say it in Slavonic!

The Greek is Ἄννα. So clearly we can add Judaizing to the festering heresies of the Finnish Orthodox Church.

Never, never, never let anyone to tell you that in order to be Orthodox you must spell it without an 'H'.

I've seen someone called "Rana" (botched attempt to write "Hannah").

The big heretics are the Spaniards, who spell it with one N!  ;D

I haven't seen how it is rendered in Latin, but in French it is Anne, and the English didn't start dropping the E until at least the 17th century.

I'm at a university research place, and they just told me my insurance probably won't cover this test that I need, and it will cost in the middle four figures.

I have 3 Firefox tabs open.  According to Task Manager, I have 6 separate firefox.exe processes that are using nearly 1.5 GB of memory.  I'm running the latest 64-bit version of Firefox (version 65.0).  My system has blue screened twice in the past week.

I have half sisters but I would advise anyone who values his life, his money and his mental and physical health to steer clear of them...  :(

They scare me so much I’ve never met them in person; I have only seen them in one photo, but I can assure members of the board in all honesty that unpleasantly enough they did attempt to terminate my life for reasons relating to inheritence.  Fortunately in this and in the courtroom they were unsuccessful (except it was impossible to do anything about the murder attempt or the stolen money due to a lack of evidence).

Actually seriously please pray for me as they still scare the living daylights out of me.

But Mor, if you are a man of epic courage I think the older one is unmarried and pushing 50...

I have a very long tradition of crazy girlfriends, I've told some anecdotes to Mor about it. Do you guys remember when I was asking for advice in the forum mid-2017 because my gf had converted to Islam? So, she's not a Muslim anymore and now we're back together.

For some reason I really enjoy reading articles about Warhammer 40K but I have zero interest in spending the money or time to actually play the game.
“Steel isn't strong, boy, flesh is stronger! That is strength, boy! That is power! What is steel compared to the hand that wields it?  Contemplate this on the tree of woe.” - Elder Thulsa Doom of the Mountain of Power

Mencius said, “Instruction makes use of many techniques. When I do not deign to instruct someone, that too is a form of instruction.”

For some reason I really enjoy reading articles about Warhammer 40K but I have zero interest in spending the money or time to actually play the game.
I like reading about colonisation of the Americas and World War II and I have zero interesting on ethnic cleansing.

I experience something similar with Age of Empires 2, though instead of reading articles I watch a guy on Twitch (t90official) commentating over other people playing. Any time I start the actual game up I get maybe 5 minutes in and get bored to death and exit.

Anyone know how the Antiochian skete for men established in Wichita Kansas (St. Silouan) is doing?

One of the very few things I miss from Facebook is a convenient way of finding local events. For years I really didn't need to specifically look for anything but just mindlessly scroll through feed and events would just find me without any extra effort. Too bad that Facebook is so ubiquitous in Finland that many venues don't really offer any other source for info.
I just need to find out how to say it in Slavonic!

I don't know personally and I don't know how recent this picture is when Met. Silouan and Bp. Basil visited.

Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Filling out a survey on our Greek Festival.
I would not be opposed to replacing it with regular pig-pickin's, to match what other churches do around here  ;D
Wishing to grant pardon for ancient debts, he who cancels the debts of all people came himself and dwelt among those who were estranged from his divine grace; and tearing apart the record of sin, he hears from everyone: Alleluia.
