Congrats! And the reply number is nice and round, too!

Funny story- when I worked at Taco Bell, this guy actually made me ring his order up again because it totaled 6.66

Georgia didn't get the memo that it's fall.

Parts of it haven't gotten the notice that the war ended 154 years ago. We can forgive missing the routine seasonal memorandum.

“God,”
The words rumbled:
“There is much suffering,
But the church is alive. "

“How long, Archpriest, are we to suffer thus?” I answered: “Until our very death, Markovna!” And she replied, with a sigh: “So be it, Petrovich, let us plod on.” - Life of Avvakum by Himself

My parents are going into one of those Evangelical mass meetings near my apartment tomorrow. I'm not planning to attend but can't help feeling a bit nostalgic especially since speakers are Bonnke and Wilkerson which used to be big names in my neck of the woods. Kind of sad to think that people attending that kind of meetings are eagerly waiting for "revival" to happen and everything to change but years pass by and nothing ever changes.
I just need to find out how to say it in Slavonic!

Gary Wilkerson. His father might be a Saint but I still doubt that he'd come to preach to Finns from beyond the grave.

Huh. Somehow I'd missed that he'd died. He wasn't perfect, but his ministry to the street people was a good one. Memory eternal.

I get a lot of chakra alignments through asmr videos, but lately I've been feeling kind of glum. Should I cut back? Also, cranial nerve exams have gone out of vogue, so I haven't seen one in a long while, so maybe I should seek out one of those while I'm at it?

I am working on a project that requires the exact transmissions of people's responses. So this happened:

-I send an email with some questions.
-Recipient copies those questions into a Word document.
-After answering them, prints the page.
-Scans the printed page.
-Has an assistant attach the scanned .pdf and email it to them.
-They forward me the email from the assistant.
-Now I cannot respond to their exact wording without retyping the document.

I've dealt with similar things before with people who don't know how to print something to PDF.

It's sort of like black metal bands who record to CD, and then play the CD into a tape recorder to give it an extra lo-fi sound. Except the result is just boredom and more paperwork.

Download some PDF editor which enables you to copy-paste the clients' answers or to answer in the PDF itself. My firm uses PDF xchange-editor from Microsoft. It's probably not the best one but at least it enables you to modify PDFs.

Doesn't your firm have any browser-based survey tools? I've used Webropol, Surveypal and the one included in SharePoint and they are a lot more convenient than word-based methods.

Also, Tolkien was probably rolling in his grave, from theft of the title.

It's funny how the LGBT community doesn't understand the definition of homophobia.

As I understand it, the Greek phobos has always had some semantic ambiguity to it that the English word fear doesn't as much. It's entirely possible to see it as encompassing not just fear, but disgust or even hatred.

And of course you could also get all Yoda and talk about how fear leads to hate :P

It was a joke, not labeling it. Meta and edgy joke. Very self-indulgent. 8)

It's funny how the LGBT community doesn't understand the definition of homophobia.

Yes, they do.

No, they don't. They think when tolerant Christians criticize them for the sin of homosexuality, it applies to their very mortality. I'm not saying the majority of Evangelical street preachers who normally engage with them aren't homophobic, but when you actually get a rational Conservative voice they tend to fall apart.

Yes, they do.

No, they don't. They take criticism of sin (homosexuality), to personally be about them as human beings.

That's usually what you mean.

There is no sin which is apart from the person who does it.

You are awfully young to be claiming people don't know what it means, when they definitely do.

There have been a couple of openly gay people here over the years. They quit.

Now, why would they know better than you?  :o

Maybe so, but "be celibate for the rest of your life or you'll burn in Hell" is a pretty bitter pill for anybody to swallow, even if it is true.

So maybe have a little compassion instead of puffing yourself up with mockery?
Christ my God, set my heart on fire with love in You, that in its flame I may love You with all my heart, with all my mind, and with all my soul and with all my strength, and my neighbor as myself, so that by keeping Your commandments I may glorify You the Giver of every good and perfect gift. Amen.

The ongoing concussion scandal is doing a pretty good job of killing any enjoyment of it I once had (which tbf always wildly fluctuated).

I've been thinking about following soccer or baseball more (or something really nerd-cred like curling or archery, I can't decide lol).
