I thought they were just drunk Italians cosplaying Bulgaria?

Trying to decide if the Goo Goo Dolls concert tomorrow is worth the headache of travel, etc.
Christ my God, set my heart on fire with love in You, that in its flame I may love You with all my heart, with all my mind, and with all my soul and with all my strength, and my neighbor as myself, so that by keeping Your commandments I may glorify You the Giver of every good and perfect gift. Is that really a band that people travel to see? I always thought of them as 90's alternative rock's equivalent of a plastic ficus on someone's office desk.

They did a lot more than that. Their early records are kinda like Husker Du.

*shrug* It's only 40 some odd miles for me and I like some of their stuff ok. It's just weather, traffic, etc makes me think it won't be worth it. But yeah, they are pretty "packaged" most of the time lol.

Nope. Cookies tells Google that, say, 1000 people have arrived from that specific YouTube video and inserted that specific address into Google Maps. No need for listening.

Makes sense!

Prayer at the Icon of Christ
We reverence Your spotless icon, O gracious Lord, and ask forgiveness of our transgressions, O Christ our God. Because of Your own good will You ascended the Cross in the flesh, that You might deliver those who You had created from the bondage of the enemy. We cry aloud unto You: You have filled all things with joy, O our Savior, for You came to save the world. Amen.

Prayer at the Icon of the Theotokos
Tenderness springs forth from you, O Theotokos, make us worthy of compassion. Look upon sinful people, reveal your power for ever as we hope in you and cry aloud: Hail! as did the Archangel Gabriel, Chief Captain of the Bodiless Powers. Amen.

Will Orthodoxy and/or OCNet allow me to patronize a local Croatian restaurant without having to face canonical penalties?
OC.NET is full of temptations, but in temptations we are enforced, remember about the thread "Temptation in the Desert: Rachel Weisz and the Undoing of Mor Ephrem". OC.NET helps in becoming unpassionate.

Thank you.
It was great! I was in the fourth row so I was super close. I’m pretty sure I was the only Christian in that whole theater cause’ everybody went crazy when he ripped into Noah’s flood.

Also the Westboro Baptist Church showed up, but hey, that’s Kansas for ya.

Having consumed a lot of pizza Lunchables in the past couple of weeks, I can absolutely confirm that Wal-Mart generic-brand pepperoni is far superior to Hormel, (and about equal to Armor). The pepperoni that comes with the Lunchables, OTOH, is pure hazmat.

Blessed Nazarius practiced the ascetic life. His clothes were tattered. He wore his shoes without removing them for six years.

Wouldn't know. I live in a land that has 500 pizza shops in a 5 mile radius. If you are eating frozen pizza something is wrong with you.

Don't @ me!
Why not just get a Digornios or something instead?
Because it tastes like DiGarbage?
Wouldn't know. I live in a land that has 500 pizza shops in a 5 mile radius. If you are eating frozen pizza something is wrong with you.

Sometimes I actually like the flavor of certain frozen pizzas, heh. I'm weird.

Amen.

So, here's a bit of an odd phenomenological question. Once I had a vivid dream in which I died in a car bomb. It HURT. It was this burning sensation that seared my skin and went down to the my very core in a second or two of dream time. I literally woke up screaming and even my mom heard it from at least a room away. I don't think I'll ever forget the feeling.

Does this mean that I in any meaningful sense know what it's like to die in a fiery explosion?

Digornios isn't bad. Freschetta brick oven is also fine. I find even Great Value (Walmart) ok. Obviously they're not as good as "real" pizza, but then they're like $5-7, and any time I actually order Pizza it's $20-25 minimum. I suppose someone might speculate that the reason I can say such disgusting things about liking frozen pizza is that I've never had REAL real pizza, which is made only in NYC, by real New Yorkers, and served in New York buildings, within NYC limits; so if I've only ever had imposters, who can blame me for not being able to tell one bad imitation from another? Woe is me.

I would say yes, at least in part; if it has stuck with you then it was "meaningful." Death by fire seems like an excruciating way to go (if you don't die from asphyxiation first), I'm sure it is serious business even on a psychological level, or in your case psychological + whatever physical sensations you experienced.

Out in rural Alaska (not where I live) a DiGiornios is like 14 bucks.

Huh. Maybe. It's so weird, I wonder how my mind extrapolated that, just from getting burned IRL?

Come on, there isn't some Italian from NYC making authentic pizzas over in Latrobe?

I know a guy like that near me, he's a total pizza nerd. He reads pizza blogs, books, videos. He once explained in precise detail why pizzas made in Colorado suck.

His pizzas are the best I've ever had but pretty expensive. It's like $18 for a small pizza.
