She is kinda hot. Lend me your chotki.

What? I mean, you can't even see her ankles.

Her forearms and glaring eyes aren't enough for you?
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Brethren in Christ do not joke around like this do you not care for your souls  I know that you are not attracted to that woman so do not pretend like you have been stricken with the sin of lust

In truth I pine after only one person in the whole world, who I will almost certainly never meet (unless I win the lottery--God forbid!), and it has been a freeing experience. Forgive my joviality!

I sincerely admire her will.  You don't get a world-class glare without a lot of practice.

Not to that woman. We joke because we are all stricken with the sin of lust. Laughter is stick with which to beat the demons of despair.

You're the one humble bragging about how much you've prayed (Matthew 6:5). Remove the plank in your own eye.

I just prayed
66 Jesus prayers (two rounds on my 33 bead chotki)
The symbol of Faith
John 1: 1-13
Psalm 67 (according to the Septuagint)
Psalm 151
 Revelation  21: 9-21

I think I have crushed the demon of lust or at least restrained it

Don’t worry, it’s coming back twenty times worse.

I went to the Greek parish for liturgy today and got the full experience.

I been to a few Greek parishes around the Mediterranean. Nobody talked to me so I felt right at home. Just like in Finland.

Oh, I don't mind the not talking.  She just turned and glared at me for a solid minute right before the Creed.

Our Father amongst the Netodox said that acquire Greece in your heart and thousands around are saved. She was just demonstrating that.
I just need to find out how to say it in Slavonic!

Current top trending words on the Online Etymology Dictionary (I like to check this once in a while to see what people are searching for):

woman, moor (not sure if it's "type of swamp" moor or "North African" Moor- all the entries are lowercase for some reason), nice, slave, a-, average, psychology, independent, anomaly, Hindu

Make of the implications what you will lol.
Christ my God, set my heart on fire with love in You, that in its flame I may love You with all my heart, with all my mind, and with all my soul and with all my strength, and my neighbor as myself, so that by keeping Your commandments I may glorify You the Giver of every good and perfect gift. Guy with a cane was walking into McDonalds as I was going out. I held the door for him, he said "thanks buddy," and I replied "yep." Not "you're welcome," not "yes sir," not even "no problem." Just "yep." Have I skipped over lazy rude dumb millennial and gone straight to Gen Z? Am I ruining everything? Is civilization about to collapse? :(

Well, technically you're Gen X. I'm only on the cusp of being Millennial, myself.

Doesn't seem like a big deal to me given that people sometimes say things like "much obliged." It's just another acknowledgement of his gratitude. I mean, when you stop to think about it, what does "you're welcome" even really mean?

Also, I noticed that the words that Google puts underneath the main for the Online Etymology Dictionary are Search, Know, Moor, Woman, and Board.

No idea why.

Several years ago, I seem to remember they were always swear words or sex terms.

Says a featherless biped.
Blessed Nazarius practiced the ascetic life. His clothes were tattered. He wore his shoes without removing them for six years.

THE OPINIONS HERE MAY NOT REFLECT THE ACTUAL OR PERCEIVED ORTHODOX CHURCH

Take a breath, read Ecclesiastes 1:9.

Intriguing. Have you written a monograph on this that I could purchase? Preferably something published by a university press so I can pay an absurdly high price for no good reason?

Not absurdly high-priced and available to the unwashed masses.  Also I didn't write it.

He had awful opinions on just about everything. Its crazy that over 2 millenia people still take him as some authoritative philosopher.

He got a lot wrong, but that's not necessarily his fault. He was clearly one of the best minds of his day.

So, the other day I somehow wound up on a sedevacantist blog. I clicked on a piece of theirs about the incident in February where a Catholic high school almost expelled a girl for having a Planned Parenthood sticker on her laptop.

The first thing in the article- a big picture of some skirted Catholic school girls's knees.

Christ my God, set my heart on fire with love in You, that in its flame I may love You with all my heart, with all my mind, and with all my soul and with all my strength, and my neighbor as myself, so that by keeping Your commandments I may glorify You the Giver of every good and perfect gift. Amen.

I still have my copy of Philosophical Foundations for a Christian Worldview from way back before I found out that William Lane Craig was a heretic. I'm wondering if it's worth bothering with revisiting it at all lol.

No you don't. Political dissent is a vaunted American tradition. Never let anybody make you feel like a sheeperson (except Jesus).
