My university's having funding problems, so they closed the refectory, so some Communists and Anarchists occupied the building and are cooking the food themselves for students. They let me in after it was already closed, so I ate only with the occupiers. It was a bit strange, I feared someone would abuse me after seeing me pray, but it was OK.

Wow. Reminds me of this story from Greece last year.

In my experience though, anarchists are terrible cooks.

The taste was good, it was just a bit cold even though it had just come out of the kitchen.

My experience too! It would be funny if we are both thinking of the same occasion.

If you've been to one horrible anarchist vegan potluck you've been to them all. It's kind of like the eucharist except with seitan and overwhelming body odors.

I'm not drunk, yet I am drunk. I am drunk.
A little bit. I drunk a little bit of a very fine Chelada. About 40 ounces. Not a ridiculous amount, especially considering the very low Abv. But dollar for dollar? No.

No matter that she's a modalist Pentecostal. The magical ecumenism of teh gay covers all doctrinal quibbles.

These stories about the murder of Alina Sheykhet: the history leading up to it, the way the actual killing happened... just brutal.  :(

Our Metropolitan visited today...again. That makes 4 in the last year or thereabouts. 2 had legit reasons (we hosted the Clergy-Laity and Choir Conferences, and today marks 80 years for the parish), one was Lenten, and one was just a pastoral visit.

Either he loves us and wants to show his appreciation, or we're REALLY bad and he needs to knock some heads  ;D
Wishing to grant pardon for ancient debts, he who cancels the debts of all people came himself and dwelt among those who were estranged from his divine grace; and tearing apart the record of sin, he hears from everyone: Alleluia.

I believe that wallets were a Calvinist invention to cause the compartmentalization of your life and emphasize the earning of profits (the largest pocket) in the psychology of men.

My Mom came to liturgy today, to hear me sing in the choir. I was so proud!

Nice...how's it going so far?

The robe's a bit sweaty, and I wound up on the wrong page in the music book a couple times. Other than that, not bad. :)

I have no problem singing in the choir but if they made me wear a robe I would freak out. Good for you.
