I've seen Mina Soliman do it in person.  It's kinda scary.

Best thing would be to crop out the cardinal. Crop like it's 1054.

Updated my faith/jurisdiction info too.

Nice.

Whenever I see a social media post that begins with, "Most people won't read past..." I think to myself, "You're damn right," and keep scrolling.
Blessed Nazarius practiced the ascetic life. His clothes were tattered. He wore his shoes without removing them for six years.

I think the Finnish Orthodox Church has good relations with the OCA and particulary its seminaries, doesn't have?

I believe that's the case. I also saw a picture of Metr. Tikhon visiting Helsinki some years back. Somewhat ironic since EP doesn't recognize their status and we're under EP. IIRC some decades ago when their then Metropolitan was invited to visit Finland EP intervened and told us to rescind the invitation. I guess nowadays the OCA-EP relations have gotten a bit better.

I'm with the camp of 13 million Americans that believe politicians are, or are controlled by, Reptilians*. I think only monks can solve this problem. It doesn't seem right that they prefer to ignore it.

*April 2, 2013 PPP poll

A company named Bethesda has been working on this problem for some time. Here's an image of what one of the Reptilians may have looked like shortly after it was captured in 2011:

And here is an artistic recreation of some of the monks they have been working with:

Progress has been slow, however.

So an updated version of the Romanian guide for confession contains this:
"I have eaten ( made others eat) abomination ( 'spurcăciune') , that is a live animal , human meat, satanic sacrifices, uncleanliness."
She hears, upon that water without sound,
A voice that cries, “The tomb in Palestine
Is not the porch of spirits lingering.
It is the grave of Jesus, where he lay.”
We live in an old chaos of the sun,
Or old dependency of day and night,
Or island solitude, unsponsored, free,
Of that wide water, inescapable.

I don't get it:  you should confess if you broke a major dietary rule like that.  There is nothing on it's own eccentric about listing that in a confession guide.

I imagine there aren't many cannibalizes period...if we wanted I guess we could ask chow many cannibals per capita that go to confession vs adulterers, murderers, etc who go to confession if you wanted a better rubric.

Still though, listing things like that is probably a necessary formality.  Almost all forms of codified laws and guidelines are going to have things like that.  And now in case a guy was ever wondering if you screwed up royally in the eyes of the Church and is in bad need of confession for eating some dude, now he knows.

It's from a popular FB page called "Gânduri din Ierusalim" ('Thoughts from Jerusalem') , subtitled a "A Society and culture page" . They recently featured an article written by a Russian archimandrite with an introduction of their own , with the title :"if in a family the husband drinks or beats his wife, this is a sign that the wife's heart lacks wisdom and true love [for the husband]".

I know. And I also know that sometimes nail biting is connected with beating and swalloping the skin around the nails. Actually, it's not funny, as it's a kind of disorder, bad reaction to stress etc.

Well at least they got the cannibal thing right!  From the sound of it the people they are dealing with that may be not as obscure a sin as we think.  I guess you can't win them all.

Also:

I heard in America that there was a major news anchor who is supposedly Muslim that went cannibal on his show to show "religious diversity" or some such thing, so there is that.

https://www.google.com/amp/amp.usatoday.com/story/707255001/ these people didn't have a spiritual father as far as we know
She hears, upon that water without sound,
A voice that cries, “The tomb in Palestine
Is not the porch of spirits lingering.
It is the grave of Jesus, where he lay.”
We live in an old chaos of the sun,
Or old dependency of day and night,
Or island solitude, unsponsored, free,
Of that wide water, inescapable.

If I eat an Argonian, is it cannibalism? Does Abba Hezekiah have any pastoral wisdom on this topic?

Wow, I missed that.  I just looked it up on the internet and read a few more articles.  Anyway, those people are lacking in almost any good thing that we may know of.
