A point to ponder about.  MLK died almost 50 years ago, and yet I am amazed at the different versions of descriptions of the man throughout different people that make him seem almost fictional.
Oh so now you see where I'm coming from with the Gospels.  ;)

Actually it makes me believe the gospels even more ;)

No, the actual Oromo people.  They've felt marginalized since...well, pretty much forever.

Lol confused Ogaden and Oromo. It's African and starts with an 'O'. How should I know, I'm White.

The most sublime part of the inauguration coverage today was seeing Richard Spencer punched in the face by anarchists.
Blessed Nazarius practiced the ascetic life. His clothes were tattered. He wore his shoes without removing them for six years.

Conclusions from my trip to my grandma's house:

  • Why do Argentinians all look so autistic? I can spot one from a (safe) distance here just by the way they stare at nowhere with a confused face.
  • I can't believe internet kilometres into the sea is better than in my house...
  • Squid is tasty, but I didn't like its jelly-like consistence. I should have asked for it deep-fried.
  • This island looks frozen in time, it's funny how despite all tourism I still feel like I'm in the 60's.

Sucker punches have existed for at least as there have been fists.  I don't think there's anything particularly modern about them.  And the white nationalist scumbag catching one in the face was hilarious, especially when he was trying to explain what his stupid little frog lapel pin means to him and the other losers.

Suddenly snow. Something like 5cm during a single day. When I left for work around 10am it was still clear and sunny spring day. Oh well. Can't exactly complain. I love winter.

One of the great crosses we must bear as Orthodox Christians is that nine years out of ten, Shamrock Shakes are only available during the Great Fast.

I can't agree with you on point (b), Father.  In those rare off years that I have been able to partake of the Shamrock Shake, it has more than lived up to the hype.

Does anyone really believe the ingredients used in McDonald's products are sufficiently genuine to fall into "fasting" and "non-fasting" categories?  Frankly, they seem fake enough to be considered "fasting".

How many structurally deficient bridges are in your county?

"24.8% of the bridges in this county are structurally deficient.
That is worse than the national average of 9.4%."

Wonderful.

I had some business at a resin-producing plant yesterday, and 24-hours after breathing the production fumes of whatever it is they're manufacturing out of rosin, I'm still itchy.

Blessed Nazarius practiced the ascetic life. His clothes were tattered. He wore his shoes without removing them for six years.

Just do Lent next year.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.
