She also has a weird fetish for tarot cards.

Tread lightly there, bro...
Sorry, I didn't know that was your thing...

'Agnostic Catholic' The irony is that I never thought I will ever be that person.

I'm still waiting for "Methodist Zoroastrian".

Methodism is pretty much already "anything goes"

That's neither fair nor accurate.

I can only speak to local parishes. Sorry if I offended.

First day assisting a public defender probably led me to see much more weirdness than I had ever seen before in my whole life.

I saw myself between the social commonplace vertigo chroniques of Nelson Rodrigues and the retributive will to harm dishonest elders of Dostoyevsky. Not a nice feeling for Lent, I'll take that as part of my Lenten podvig.

And that's because it's a family law jurisdiction. Not exactly looking forward to work for penal law.

Sometimes, the internet seems to allow liberality in discussions, and harshness at times.  But there is also a sincerity in many posters, and many times, we might misunderstand their sincerity to be harshness rather than mere sarcasm intended to be harmless and fun.

Probably. I just can think of three or four people here to or about whom I have said things I'd avoid in person, and you're included.

(Not intended to be sarcastic, I actually talked to you about it inbox in Forgiveness Monday.)

When I met Antonis, we hugged and walked into coffee hour together and I loudly and excitedly talked over the Lord's Prayer and he had to shush me.

When I met Antonis, we barely shook hands, after which we found a secluded food service establishment and took our meal in silence, ruminating on patristic wisdom.

If he was a hugger like I am, it could've been better.  But no.  He's some sort of "Ephraimite" around me, but he's a normal young white man around you.  It's racist.  Antonis is racist.

Do you think we will say the things we say to each here if we were ever to meet in person?
When I met Mor Ephrem in person, I called him a monophysite and he called me a Nestorian. Then we punched each other in the face.

Good times.

Don't forget how we went to dinner and then got dessert and sat with each other in public and everyone saw us together.  <3
There are some memories so precious and intimate, that I don't speak of them them out loud, but rather meditate on them in the stillness of the night.

When is the wedding guys, anyway?

I thought the comparison was humourus. Lots of modern scholars have made parallels between Brother-making and Same-sex marriage. I find the concept funny, I suppose.

I just got a revised work schedule for April. I'm now off this Sunday but I'm still not hanging out with Tris.
That awkward moment when you refuse to hang out with someone who didn't want to hang out with you to begin with.
God bless!

First day assisting a public defender probably led me to see much more weirdness than I had ever seen before in my whole life.

This sounds like an amazing job.
