Perhaps it was just a mistake? I know that being constantly overworked I might do something like that purely because I forgot the management's order.
But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

Wow....

My former coworkers hated me more than i thought.

My former boss needed something from me, and so i went to log into the system (which i was told I could keep doing) and my account had vanished.

a former coworker removed it completely a mere 3 days after I left, and against management wishes.

I feel so popular now.

That means you did something good, and they hate you for it.

A bit tempted to order Fairphone 2. I've lived without a smartphone something like a year now just to try it out whether I could do it. I can but apparently don't want to. The idea of a fair and ecological smarthphone does sound alluring although the idea is an obvious oxymoron.

The price is quite high especially my present phone was 18€. But I don't consider it too much of a problem though. I have a job and smartphones are expensive. At least that one would probably last longer and be easily fixable than most others.

Sakha is pretty diverse, especially when you factor for religion:

  Russian Orthodox (37.8%)
  Tengrist or Yakut shaman (13%)
  Muslim (2%)
  Unaffiliated Christian (1%)
  Protestant (1%)
  Buddhist (0.4%)
  Atheist (26%)
  Spiritual but not religious (17%)
  Other or undeclared (1.8%)

I'm certain no religion there would use a place of worship for a music video.  My guess would be it is just a social or cultural hall.  Those are important in traditional Arctic cultures before the advent of the mall.

It's common knowledge that you secretly want to be born in early 17th century Russia.  As a serf or a royal, I know not.  Chances are serf.

Nothing makes you amp up your prayer life more than being so sick that you feel like you'll be drifting through the toll houses soon. Blargh. The flu shot was useless for me this year.

They are Yakutsk like the province in the boardgame Risk.

Their religion is shamanism/Tengrism. Mambet is a Turkic version of Muhammed, so they can be Tengric. Tengri was the fatherly sky deity of the Turkic people in ancient times.

Remember the round hall in the video?

The flu shot lasts 4-6 months apparently.  I was asking an Infectious Diseases doctor if one can take the flu shot twice, and he said "it's not recommended," but I can't find a good reason.  This gives me a research idea :P

I feel kind of bad now, my city literally breeds disease and I've never heard of a flu shot (only for the swine flu, but that's a much more dangerous and infectious thing).

We do have but AFAIK they are not distributed to just about everyone. During the swine flu epidemic there were some more widespread vaccinations but otherwise I assume they are given only to the elderly folks and other risk groups. Never felt a need for it myself. It's a minor annoyance with will be cured by simply resting for a few days. IMO nowadays  people use too much drugs.

In the US, many places of employment "encourage" flu shots and will provide them at no cost to their employees. I suspect it has more to do with fear of lost productivity as opposed to concern for the employee's health. I believe in hospitals and such, it is a requirement to receive the flu vaccine unless you have an allergy to it.

'Agnostic Catholic' The irony is that I never thought I will ever be that person. I remember reading about Agnostic Catholics in the Netherlands, and it sounded ridiculous, and I'm sure it sounds ridiculous to others, but that is what I'm.  Maybe I'm more like agnostic, but including the Catholic is my way of not giving up yet.

If that makes you feel better, RC Canon Law states that once you go Catholic, you can never go back. So I think I'm an Eastern Orthodox Roman Catholic, too.

In some place they can not legally "require it," but they effectually do by requiring anyone who does not get a flu shot to wear a face mask during all patient interactions, including front desk staff.

You will get fired at my job if you don't get the flu shot. It's happened.

Actor Garry Shandling has died of a heart attack. :( Rest in peace.

RIP.  A comedic genius, in my opinion.

'Agnostic Catholic' The irony is that I never thought I will ever be that person.

I'm still waiting for "Methodist Zoroastrian".

Methodism is pretty much already "anything goes"

I'm glad to know that my faith struggle is a source of amusement for you and others. And to just go with your ridiculous and insensitive post that treats someone's faith struggle as a source of a joke, it will never happen. If this time my enitre faith in Christianity goes away, I will make sure it goes away forever and shut the door.

I guess it is the Catholic version of "Once saved, always saved" ;)

My sister-in-law is "Methodist Buddhist" which is really code for "Eastern religions are so exotic so I want to pretend I'm one of those sometimes, but in other social situations, I need to be a Christian..."
