So, my mother has attended for the 2nd time in her life a DL in Polish. And half of of the impressions she had was about an "amazingly handsome" Ugandan parishoner whe have (who at one time supposedly smiled at her). He is a couple of years younger than me, and, unfortunately to him, he studies at the same faculty as I did but my mother was most impressed by him today.

Yeah, he is handsome. But I really feel sorry for him having chosen the same faculty as I did. He does not already know what awaits him.

It's going to be awkward having a stepfather younger than you.

I wonder what my father does if he hears about it.

We've had a massive windstorm that has knocked out the power in my neighborhood.  While my family is lighting candles, some of my neighbors are starting their cars, and shining the high beams into their front windows.

Ah, life in the inner city...

Genius!
Vain existence can never exist, for "unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain." (Psalm 127)

If the faith is unchanged and rock solid, then the gates of Hades never prevailed in the end.

So I spoke with my uncle for the first time in about 7 years this past weekend. He felt like it was the appropriate time to confront me about not believing in Sola Fide and said that anyone that doesn't believe in Sola Fide belongs to a cult just like the Masons. I was rather amused by the whole thing. I wonder if I will have more of these edifying conversations to look forward to now that I am a cult member.  ;D

Ironic considering that historically, Masonry and and quite a few sola-fide Protestant denominations were heavily intertwined. It was the Catholics who forbade members from joining lodges.
He kept yelling "Faith plus NOTHING! You can take that to the bank!"
My dad talked to me about Orthodoxy for the first time last night. He said he heard I talked to my uncle (his brother) and wanted to know how it went. I mentioned that I got a lecture about my faith. He said, "Yes, I heard about that. He is right, you know". I mumbled something about the Epistle of James and the conversation ended. It was the first time my dad has even acknowledged that I'm not still Baptist.
God bless!

Well don't Indian Christians sing protestant songs anyhow?

I haven't, and I know very little about that tradition, hence the interest.

Do you want to come with me?  It might be easier for me to come down to you and go with you and your family to their church.  We can whisper the Chrysostom Liturgy into each other's ears at uncomfortable moments in the service.

Maybe I should go to the church I'm thinking about visiting so I can find my own "TheTrisagion ThePrayerOfJabez".

The ones I typically go to sustained a lot of damage in the blizzard.

Not gonna lie, I'm disturbed you have an erotic fanfic in which I am a character.
I am disturbed that I am NOT a character. Can you write me in, Volnutt?

You are a character. You're the one telling him what to turn into, how big to inflate, etc.
Is that what they teach you at the temple volnutt-stein?

Actually, it's Volnutt-berg.

I'm not white.

In my erotic fanfic you're a shapeshifting otherkin. You can be whatever Tris wants.

I'm actually a plant/human hybrid who just happens to have been born into this defective, cellulose-less body.

That makes me....a transplant.
I'm not going to be posting as much on OC.Net as before. I might stop in once in a while though. But I've come to realize that real life is more important.

There are an unsettlingly large number of unlicensed computer games on the Internet, all of which involve one or both princesses from Frozen being pregnant. Like this one for example. I haven't yet been able to figure out why.

Frozen is popular and there's some weird fetishes out there on the net.
