the best antidoron, personally, has been the Antiochians.

Nah.  Coptic bread is the best bread, hands down.
not all are the same.  I traveled far and wide and thus far, the best is my childhood parish St. George and St. Shenouda, Jersey City, NJ, even after the guy who did it passed away, he seemed to have taught the next generation the same technique (I have been there as recent as the beginning of this month)

There is going to be some difference within a tradition, of course, but I still stand by my comment.  Even the most lackluster Coptic bread was better than the average Antiochian, GOA, OCA, ROCOR, etc. equivalent.

You hush your mouth.

I love how it doesn't bother you to criticise Antiochian, GOA, or ROCOR bread.  The chrism is really drying well.

Thank you. In my 6 months experience across 3 jurisdictions, the OCA has the best bread.

The greatest potential for schism in the future will be whose antidoron receipe is to be used once America is finally congealed into a single autocephalous Church.

Consider this to be a prophecy.

I did ask my parents to go to church with me, but they didn't like the idea. So, I figured antidoron was also a no-go. :( I may ask them again, though.

Worse comes to worse, you can always eat what you want on Sunday and keep the rest for consumption during the week.  I like doing this when I can.

In my experience, no later than Tuesday.

Another alternative is if I have way too much that I cannot finish by Tuesday, I let it out of the bag and harden.  I would then use tea or milk to soften it later.

It's common knowledge that you secretly want to be born in early 17th century Russia.  As a serf or a royal, I know not.  Chances are serf.

But still if you ever get the chance, check that parish out :)...I call Jersey City "the mother land" :P

Who will be my tour guide on this pilgrimage?  :P

You need a guide to cross the river and go to NJ?

weak NY'rs....

I don't need a guide for that, though an opportunity to worship with Mina is just the kind of encouragement I need to tolerate New Jersey.  Basically, I don't want to show up at a random NJ church and, when asked what brought me there, have to confess "I came for the orban".

Just pretend you don't speak English.

Need to find that old pictures of what you eat thread. Now that I have a real kitchen (and not working in uncomfortable heat), I am back to regularly cooking. Just doing really simple recipes.

Putting together a brick wood burning grill would be the dream.

Why?  Nothing for the Christian gay conservative person to do around town?

It depends. If you work 40 hours a week at a fast food joint and your days off are Monday and Thursdsy, you could have a legit reason to hate weekends.

One of the must common kind of stomach flus is highly contagious and gets passed along rather easily.  It's not so much your community had a bad batch of things, rather someone was somewhere at the wrong time, and next thing you know....BAMO! The entire  cruise ship of "The SS Breakin' Wind", are praying to the porcelain gods over the next few weeks giving the cruise ship doctor finally something to do other than trying to seduce lonely old rich women (which is essentially just telling you to drink water).

I went to a wedding this weekend.  It had everything: a beautiful bride, a weepy groom, a female Lutheran minister, good food, and open bar.  What more could you ask for?

Question of the day:  Why are drunk best man speeches so much better than drunk maid of honor speeches?

These two mega-churchy Protestant women at my job - one of whom is a preacher - have been going on and on in the staff room about how sick the Pope's visit to the East Coast is making them and how "people are going out of their minds" and "it's not like it's Jesus, honey".  Less than a month ago, the two hypocrites were making a huge deal about the number of people who turned up to see Kenneth Copeland last time he came to town.  "Can you believe how awesome the man of God is?" and "You know he's impacted a lot of lives"  "Yes he has!".  Classic.
