Sitting in a shisha bar in Tbilisi. Nicotine is underrated.

A person says X but because other person says Y the first person must also mean Y.

Hyperdoxy in a nutshell. An Orthodox priest says "Ecumenism is not too bad" but because bishop Spong is saying that too the priest must be espousing the branch theory or something to that effect.

Getting by on €60 a day must have been a novel and terrifying experience.

Nope, they weren't. I personally know someone from the government who went out to Crete to supply pensioners living there with cash in hand.

The ATMs were set to that limit. Doesn't matter how much money you had on the other side; only €60 would come out.

On the positive side, €60 covers gyros for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Is Greece really that expensive? At this moment €60 = $85.91 (CAD). That would be decent reasonably priced restaurant meals for a day around here - or, as I just did earlier this morning  - it will buy groceries for a week for two - again somewhat modest - good food, but with plans to prepare most from scratch (a few treats thrown in  :)).

If that's a daily limit, it's a livable amount here per month  - without too many extras, of course.

As long as you don't have to pay rent, utilities, transport, etc. out of it.

Of course it isn't that expensive. But you could afford it with €60 a day.

€60 x 30 = €1800 per month is what I'm talking about. Yes, here where I live it covers a small apartment, inexpensive car, basic utilities, etc. You won't be eating out much or taking a Caribbean cruise, but you can survive. It's almost exactly what minimum wage pays here.

The limit is actually €300/week (€60/work day), which makes €1200 and some change... and there are plenty of families who don't even earn that sum, especially those that live on a grandparent's pension.

I have not watched the Hulk Hogan sex tape, nor will I. And they can't make me.

It wasn't a sex tape. Apparently it was a tape of him repeatedly saying the n-word.

EDIT: Looks like it actually was a sex tape....a sex tape that included him saying racial slurs as pillow talk. Yikes!

Aye, and as I mentioned in the MITB thread, there may be more tapes coming. I remember reading on the Meltzer/Alvarez site that the WWE and others knew of racist comments by Hogan for years now; I guess this is an especially bad time for that kind of news about you coming to the attentionn of the tabloids/TMZs though.

Anyway, my childhood is in tatters. Why Hulk, why? Did I not say enough prayers? Did I not eat enough vitamins? Did I not stay true to myself? Wasn't I a real American, fighting for the rights of every man, fighting for what's right? 8)

I'm sure copious notes are being taken and exchanged with each re-viewing of the sex tape.  Pretty soon all of our beloved teens will have a girlfriend or two.

'Cause it's time for the weather with Marty Mouse!

That's a rat, dude.
Well, I suppose Marty Mouse sounds better than Marty Rat. Of course, you could call this little fellow Roscoe Ratz.

alpha male

a term previously used by anthropologists when speaking of non-human primates; it is currently used as a self-identifier by belligerent human males who aspire to match the brutish strength and utter stupidity of non-human primates

I'm not going to be posting as much on OC.Net as before. I might stop in once in a while though. But I've come to realize that real life is more important.

whatcha gonna do when racism runs wild all over you brother! sorry I couldn't help it now I know what he meant calling everyone brother and what his song I'm a real american meant  :D

I had a dream last night that they were rebooting the TV show CHiPs.
