My family is driving out to Oregon for a couple days to visit my grandfather before he passes away. I'm going to be home alone for the next 3 days or so. What should I do?

I've noticed that orthonorm has been absent pretty much since Porter left. I think there was a symbiosis between those two that has now been broken. Poor normie.  :'(  :P

Where I live, it's about to rain.

Up here it's been raining all day. No matter the season, it's always raining apparently only change being whether it's snow or water. Remind me again why I was born and still live here.
But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

I wish we'd get some proper rain over here. It's bad weather for allergies.

3828 + 121 =
Kennedy assassinated = 1963 (age 46)
Lincoln assassinated = 1865 (age 56)
Reagan failed assassination = 1981 (age 70)
FDR failed assassination = 1933 (age 51)

1963 + 1865 = 3828 ----------------
46 + 56 = 102-------------

1981 + 1933 = 3914
70 + 51 = 121

3828 + 121 =
3914 + 102

It's my first night alone and I'm too afraid to sleep. Weird that I can't even sleep in an empty house for 3 days when my fantasy is to be the last person on Earth.

I slept in an old slaves dorm (senzala) once. It was on an island near Rio inhabitted only by two or three families of naval officers who guard the lighthouse on the island.

I was not alone though, but due to the remoteness of everything it was still quite an experience.

Maybe he will meet with EOTC hierarchs while he's there?
I'm not going to be posting as much on OC.Net as before. I might stop in once in a while though. But I've come to realize that real life is more important.

Good for him.

Maybe he will meet with EOTC hierarchs while he's there?

I truly hope he will.

Beyonce did, so why not?

True!  And from what I heard, she was genuinely captivated by the Church.  She humbly assented to going barefoot and covering her hair when entering churches, she reportedly knelt and prayed inside acknowledging the holiness of the place, not just passing through like a tourist, and remarking on the Orthodox chant she basically paraphrased the envoys of St. Vladimir, saying she didn't know if she was in Heaven or on earth.  She also reportedly sent condolences when H.H. Abune Paulos reposed and donated a lot of money to orphanages and hospitals.  I'm holding out hope that she'll convert.  And if she does, we have to do a better job promoting it than we did when we snagged Bob Marley (Berhane Selassie) and Lauryn Hill (Fikerte Maryam)!  ;D
Now accepting brief PMs.

What kind of sorcery are you practicing, Tris?
It's common knowledge that you secretly want to be born in early 17th century Russia.  As a serf or a royal, I know not.  Chances are serf.

What kind of sorcery are you practicing, Tris?
That is the least of my passions.

It's my greatest.
It's common knowledge that you secretly want to be born in early 17th century Russia.  As a serf or a royal, I know not.  Chances are serf.

When you offered via PM to cast a hex on any forum members I might be having problems with, I had a clue that that might be the case.
God bless!

Did you not see that "niggardliness" is a passion? Just fork over the $5.99 to my PayPal account already.

I thought etsy cracked down on you sellers of the spells.

Its seems to me if you are that worried about the $5.99, you have an "attraction to that which is fleeting"

I get this song stuck in my head from time to time, though it's been happening more frequently lately. I guess it got lodged in there from all those times during high school that I left MTV on while I slept and this was one of the songs they played repeatedly. Anyway, I always thought the lyrics were kinda weird, but I figured they were just your typical alt-rock humor. However, according to this one site called Wikipedia: "The whole song, except for the chorus, are parts made up from the 1964 teen advice book Penny's Guide to Teen-Age Charm and Popularity, written by television actress Gloria Winters." Weird. I wonder how close they are to the original. anyway, the song, minus the chorus:

Three important rules for breaking up
Don't put off breaking up when you know you want to
Prolonging the situation only makes it worse
Tell him honestly, simply, kindly, but firmly
Don't make a big production
Don't make up an elaborate story
This will help you avoid a big tear jerking scene
If you want to date other people say so
Be prepared for the boy to feel hurt and rejected
Even if you've gone together for only a short time,
And haven't been too serious,
There's still a feeling of rejection
When someone says she preferres the company of others
To your exclusive company,
But if you're honest, and direct,
And avoid making a flowery emotional speech when you brake the news,
The boy will respect you for your frankness,
And honestly he'll apeciate the kind of straight foward manner
In which you told him your decision!
Unless he's a real jerk or a cry baby you will remain friends!

Being attractive is the most important thing there is
If you want to catch the biggest fish in your pond
You have to be as attractive as possible!
Make sure to keep your hair spotless and clean!
Wash it at least every two weeks!
Once every two weeks!!!
And if you see Jonny football hero in the hall
Tell him he played a great game!
Tell him you like his article in the newspaper!

I propose we support a one month limit on going steady
I think it would keep people more able to deal with weird situations
And get to know more people
I think if you're ready to go out with Jonny
Now's the time to tell him about your one month limit
He won't mind; he'll apreciate your fresh outlook on dating
And once you've dated someone else you can date him again!
I'm sure he'll like it!
Everyone will appreciate it!
You're so novel! What a good idea!
You can keep you time to yourself
You don't need date insurance!
You can go out with whoever you want to!
Every boy! Every boy in the whole world could be yours!
If you'll just listen to my plan
The teenage guide to popularity!!!

(I hope you ladies find this advice beneficial in your future endeavors   8) )

The passions are:

demonic provocation,
astrology,
divination,
sorcery,
witchcraft,
defilement,
the eating of unclean food,
solitary eating,
patricide,
matricide,
flogging,
hanging,
throttling,
bewitchment,
fluteplaying,

Oops.... couldn't you have told me earlier?

If you were going to jump someone's  bones, I would think it would be a close one between Mor and JamesR.

LOL!
