I try not to think about the menopause.

Try not to think about the menopause and thousands around you will be saved.

My name is purple now. It looks strange to me because I was so used to it being pink, but I like the new color.
This is something cute and innocent.

Yesterday I was invited to a linguists' ball. Barely knowing anyone there, being ignorant about nearly all aspects of linguistics and only having received my invitation in the nick of time, I still went, never saying no to a good ball. Considering the affair was a ball (the invite clearly said so), I naturally got into my white tie and tails. When I arrived there the establishment where it was supposed to be held turned out to be a pansy bar of low repute, but still I pressed on. Upon entering the ballroom I found that everyone in attendence was wearing t-shirts with jeans. Oi, this wasn't my kind of ball after all. You can't trust invitations anymore.

Noam Chomsky doesn't care that you showed up.  He told everyone to wear jeans.  He won't apologize that you didn't get the message.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

That would have been an interesting, yet annoying, invitation.

What You Say To Someone You Don't Like

Congratulations, you're going to Mexico!
But there's one little thing that you should know
The water there, it tastes so nice
It tastes even better if you add ice.
So drink it up, as much as you can
And have a great little trip, my man!

I'm not going to be posting as much on OC.Net as before. I might stop in once in a while though. But I've come to realize that real life is more important.

Friends, the Prom video.  I always think people during the 80s were sweaty. I have no idea why. The videos from the 80s make them look like that:)

This is the current list of highest post counts:

63356 - ialmisry
60482 - Porter ODoran
58290 - TheTrisagion
48668 - Cyrillic

32083 - Justin Kissel
24004 - Fr. George
23977 - marc1152
22433 - Mor Ephrem

Cutting is self-abuse.  ::)

What is it with you and euphemisms? Why can't you just call it masturbation like everyone else?

Typing it makes me feel dirtier than doing it. Just saying, I've never got the cutting thing. Especially when "self-abuse" is much more harmless and actually feels good.

Then at least pick an appropriate euphemism or 500. So that people don't think you're actually, you know, cutting yourself.

No idea. Either man up and cut all the way or get rid of the knife. Everything in between is pathetic.

Many Energies, 3 Persons, 2 Natures, 1 God, 1 Church, 1 Baptism, and 1 Cup. The Son begotten only from the Father, the Spirit proceeding only from the Father, Each glorifying the Other. The Son sends the Spirit, the Spirit Reveals the Son, the Father is seen in the Son. The Spirit spoke through the Prophets and Fathers and does so even today.

Long before there was Bruce/Caitlin Jenner, there was George/Christine Jorgensen. Who was the subject of a calypso song written and recorded by Louis Farrakhan, back when he was still known as Gene Walcott.
