My cousin said the art in Florence is really wonderful.  :)

It is. There's even a related Florence syndrome.

Not too long ago I had 2000 posts more than the TheTrisagion. But he's catching up so fast I'm getting scared. I'm now only some 300 posts ahead.

Typical American response:

"So, are you forced to speak German?  No?  You're welcome."

Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Or Russian, for that matter. I'd like to say the same about Arabic or Turkish, but the Americans seem to be less helpful in that regard.

So in addition to that we have rather high taxes we also have rather complicated taxation system. Now that I've done my job well and got more wage than I expected the state rewards me with higher tax percentage. One would assume that this would be easy. Something like "your boss gives you this much of money so you need to pay this percentage of taxes."

But then again that would make sense. There's no easy way to calculate tax percentage as in order to know the percentage I need to give minutial details about this or that amount of money and this or that membership of a union and other information and it's driving me nuts. Tax offices are hard to find, are annoingly crowded and open only during office hours.

And then they call this as a welfare state. Just take my money and leave me alone. Please. :-X

yes; I like malta, too - the single malta as opposed to the blend, and at least 12 years old [minimum] 30 - 50 is much better. [The problem is those, of course is that they can run $100+ per bottle (750ml)
sigh...

Don't worry, I will briskly walk past all of them without so much as a "Hi" in true northern fashion.  I will also be wearing a t-shirt and shorts because it is in the 60's which will give you thin blooded southerners goosebumps just thinking about it.

I'm flying to Louisiana today.  Fun times. I'll be back Friday night, God willing.

Business or pleasure?
Business, although I might mix in some pleasure.  :P
I hope everyone speaks to you unintelligibly to the point that you will beg for a nice Southern drawl from a Waffle House waitress.  So mote it be.
Don't worry, I will briskly walk past all of them without so much as a "Hi" in true northern fashion.  I will also be wearing a t-shirt and shorts because it is in the 60's which will give you thin blooded southerners goosebumps just thinking about it.

I'm very much enjoying the weather.  It does make me chuckle seeing people out with scarves right now.

Maybe they're wearing them not because it's cold but because some nice person knit them for them.
Please Mor, they are southerners. Don't give them the benefit of the doubt.  You have to keep them under your thumb at all times or they start revolts.
God bless!

We don't need your stinking Amish furniture, with fine craftsmanship and clean lines.

Sherman only did it to go see his girl in Savannah.  His game was off, otherwise his destruction would have been far more widespread.  What's your excuse?
