So this came in the mail today for my (prior/ex) wife:

Seriously? She's been dead for over 4 1/2 years... you'd think they'd have updated their info after a while. :D Did they think I was just having some fun when I told them the reason they should stop sending her mail? I must have convinced the doctors/nurses at one of their own (UPMC) hospitals to join in and report her dead? Sheesh! I guess the funniest thing to me is that they aren't sending stuff to an old address of hers, but rather to an address that she never lived at; and what's more, this is like my 3rd new address since she passed away. They sure are good at tracking people (or some, anyway)! Having said that... is this evidence that marriages are eternal, such that even corporations and government departments forever link two people together, and that link cannot be severed by death?  :P
I'm glad you're taking this well. My mother got an advertising promotion addressed to my father more than twenty years after he died! It was very upsetting. I called the company in question and really reamed them out. They claimed that it was a computer glitch and that they were aware that many of those had gone out. Computer glitch? Really? Dad died in 1973. How many records were maintained on computers then?

But back to your situation - can you send another change of address to the offending party? Perhaps the cemetery where she is buried or the funeral home that provided services.

My grandfather used to get sent bills long after he died. They were sent to our house because Grandpa had lived there when he was younger and my dad and aunt were kids - back in the 1940s.

Daily Tidbit of Wisdom #220: Having problems finding buddies to go out with to Monster Truck events, pro wrestling matches, etc.? Pretend till you befriend! You've probably seen some guys at the gas station, or bbq/ribs shack, or Walmart, and wanted to introduce yourself. Just walk right up to those guys and act like you have some smidgen of the confidence your mama and the good Lord gave to you. And if you get nervous just remember this tip: you can't spell 'afeared' without 'ear,' so just stand and listen and nod your head and smile.

I am hoping that it helps with the constant headaches.....i haven't had a headache free day in months...:(

I went to the Sports Authority website and they had some backpacks on sale for one penny off. One penny.

Stock up, big sales like this only happen once in a while.

I have to get some cavities taken care of at the dentist tomorrow, and I'm pretty terrified. I've never had a cavity in the past and I don't know what to expect when the dentist treats them.

I'm sorry, James. The dentist is never my favorite place but I've found my anxiety about going is worse than the actual visit itself. Getting fillings isn't bad. They'll numb you, then drill them out. The drill is loud and feels strange. The sound is pretty crazy, I think. Don't be afraid to ask for more novocaine if you're uncomfortable. Once the drilling is over the filling part is easy peasy. I'll pray that everything goes super smoothly and comfortably for you!

Many Energies, 3 Persons, 2 Natures, 1 God, 1 Church, 1 Baptism, and 1 Cup. The Son begotten only from the Father, the Spirit proceeding only from the Father, Each glorifying the Other. Mor Ephrem is a nice guy.  Just say sorry and it will all be ok. Say I had things that were inside troubling me but I didn't know how to express appropriately. I will not behave that way again but I am seeking help.

...if you feel Mor really is in spiritual danger, pray the Jesus prayer for him.   :police:
