Fairly accurate description of Catholic-Orthodox board.
But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

I turned my alarm off and went back to bed this morning, but thankfully woke up and was able to get out the door at the right time. Other than that and all my other first world problems whatevers, I'm hunka dorky. Emphasis on the last part.

Makes sense. The only time I used MLA was in my introductory undergrad English classes. Most of my history etc. professors used APA or Chicago.

I wish Rome would return to its most simple Gregorian chant. It is beautiful and just as easy to follow along with as the nonsense happy-clappy crap that pervades their churches today. This is what traditionalists need to encourage, not the Mass as a "performance" with complex polyphony and the rest. There is a beautiful power to the congregation following along, able to understand and voice the words. What a wonderful, underused tradition.

Whenever I listen to recordings like this, I wish Rome would return to this tradition and to Orthodoxy.  Traditional Roman liturgy agrees with me.

In Denmark, one book of that size could easily cost 80 $.

I disagree in theory with the idea of only dating people at least "half your age plus seven." Having said that, it does seem kinda awkward or strange for a 35 year old to ask out 20 year olds. Then again, a 'yes' here or there could go a long way in smoothing that problem over. ...

Well I'm ok with a pretty wide range of age differences, though it might be awkward if they're assuming a much younger age; but some people would consider it creepy. I don't want to be known as "that bald-headed freak who hits on girls out of his league and young enough to be his child" or whatever :P :police:

Especially since we're talking about Nordic countries.  In Norway you'd probably need to sell your soul or something in order to buy books like that.

The memory of God should be treasured in our hearts like the precious pearl mentioned in the Holy Gospel. Only because it brings politics into a subforum where it doesn't belong. Voicing your support of Hitlerism would probably be treated the same according to the rules as voicing support for liberalism, conservatism, anarchism or what have you.

Argument From Kai (Summarized Form)

A new argument for the non-existence of God.

- A just God would not allow what happened on Saturday night at the Mr. Olympia to happen.
- Therefore either God is not just, or there is no God.
- I want a God to be just if there is one, because dealing with an unjust God would suck.
- Therefore there is no God.

So this came in the mail today for my (prior/ex) wife:

Seriously? She's been dead for over 4 1/2 years... you'd think they'd have updated their info after a while. :D Did they think I was just having some fun when I told them the reason they should stop sending her mail? I must have convinced the doctors/nurses at one of their own (UPMC) hospitals to join in and report her dead? Sheesh! I guess the funniest thing to me is that they aren't sending stuff to an old address of hers, but rather to an address that she never lived at; and what's more, this is like my 3rd new address since she passed away. They sure are good at tracking people (or some, anyway)! Having said that... is this evidence that marriages are eternal, such that even corporations and government departments forever link two people together, and that link cannot be severed by death?  :P

I'm glad you're taking this well. My mother got an advertising promotion addressed to my father more than twenty years after he died! It was very upsetting. I called the company in question and really reamed them out. They claimed that it was a computer glitch and that they were aware that many of those had gone out. Computer glitch? Really? Dad died in 1973. How many records were maintained on computers then?

But back to your situation - can you send another change of address to the offending party? Perhaps the cemetery where she is buried or the funeral home that provided services.

My grandfather used to get sent bills long after he died. They were sent to our house because Grandpa had lived there when he was younger and my dad and aunt were kids - back in the 1940s.
