Yep, or triple, or whatever.  There are no rules about multiple posting.

Stop coaching her on how to get a yellow meatball!

Is a yellow meatball really that bad?

I would not get one on this forum, I would not get one due to decorum,
I would not get one, Sam I Am, I would not get green eggs and ham yellow meatballs

Is a yellow meatball really that bad? And is multiple-posting REALLY allowed here?
A yellow dot puts you on post moderation which means all of you posts have to be approved by a moderator which is annoying. I have never personally gotten it, but there are some people, who shall remain nameless, that seem to get it frequently.

Double posting is fine. If you go to extremes and post 10 times in a row, you would probably get a warning, or if you spam a bunch of threads with the same post, you will end up in trouble, but I double post quite often and have never had anyone say anything.

Don't worry Tri, I don't believe a single of those nasty things Mr. Phrem, Ms. Kelly and Mr. Norm say about you in PM.

Yay!

:)

+1    I had bacon this morning.  I try not to eat it much, but I just got a craving for all that salty goodness, ya know?  :)  (Plus, saving the drippings is good for when I want to make cornbread)

The POM is mainly a contest to see who can pack as many nice inoffensive spiritual sentiments into a single post as possible. It is doomed to be unexciting.
This has generally been my impression as well. There are a few masters of the art here.

Maybe it should be called Pious of the Month.

Using profanities and vulgarities on the forum is probably the fastest way to get moderated.  I would suggest avoid using such terminology.  Post moderation is bad enough, you don't want to get muted.

I have ruled out the bottom one as you are not old enough to have a white beard yet.  The other three look the same, so I conclude that you are playing a trick on me and have posted your photo three times in an effort to embarass me in front of all my oc.net friends.  Well, it won't work. NOT THIS TIME!

I've been curious why this forum, with its thorough rule system, doesn't have a rule against trolling. I realize Random Postings is not the place to find an answer.

Somebody was just saying -- well maybe it was a week ago -- that he comes here to troll. On the other hand, I think you make quite a wise observation. Forums that ban "trolling" end up seeming pretty unable to distinguish what that is and usually pull out the moderation when they sense emotions in a thread to run high.

I know there are complaints about the behavior of posters and moderators responses, but I thinks the mods here do a great job and considering the wide range of views here, the posters are remarkably good at not crossing the line. IMHO, anyways.

Posters are great -- let's all give ourselves a pat on the back -- but one or two folks are patently consistently posting to draw fire.
