In another thread a question was asked about the letter G (God) being the 7th letter of the American alphabet. The answer to this is interesting, if a bit obvious:

Unfortunately, the author confused the figure.  That particular graphic is the partial diagram of the play Notre Dame used to beat Army in 1928 -- a classic I-formation run against a 5-3 defense.  But maybe God really was on their side, so perhaps the explanation is close to the truth, as well.

The author also should have used a different font for the small text. Very hard to read. He must have been using MS paint, and zoomed in, and then when he was done typing, the font resized/changed, and when he zoomed out he saw how awful it was, but was too tired at 2:30 in the morning to type it all in again. He shouldn't have been so lazy though. Maybe it was Notre Dame though--they have God on their side cause they're Catholic, tis true!

Anyone remember this pic?

I love how he pops right back up after the first shoe, stands straight as an arrow, and just looks at him with an implied "Oh that's all you got?"  Also, I hadn't noticed until now, I love the guy beside him playing defense and trying to knock down the 2nd shoe.

Asteriktos' avatar and sig line are both so full of win.

The term planet earth is an innovation which has arisen in recent centuries with the error of heliocentrism.

If one wants to confess a pure doctrine of Orthodoxy, they should be careful not to refer to the earth as a planet, unlike the current Pope as well as Patriarch Kirill and Patriarch Bartholomew, who regularly speak in error when they refer to our planet earth.

Why do hats have to be so expensive?

Sometimes I toy with the idea of wearing hats, but I'm not too good at figuring out what kind of hat would be appropriate with the kinds of clothes I typically wear.  Knowing that they are expensive just makes it less likely...

I usually only wear hats when I wear a suit. I think I'm going to get another bowler hat, but second-hand this time. When you buy them new they can cost €150-200. That's ridiculous.

It is strange that you say that.  I asked for a bowler hat for Christmas until I found out how much they cost.  I was quite shocked and changed my request to a smart looking wool fedora.  It looks rather dashing if I may say so myself.

Buy a flat cap. They are not that expensive and it's the most multi-function hat there is. Bowlers and fedoras should not be used with casual clothing whereas flat caps can be used in almost every situation and with every kind of clothing.

Bowlers on the other hand should be restricted to the inhabitans of British isles. :police:

Everyone will think that I'm either working class or hipster when I wear flat caps. Can't have that, Alpo.

Wear a Santa hat (but only for today). Then people won't think you're a hipster; they'll think you're crazy. That's probably better.

^That's exactly why I haven't bought a fedora.

Cyrillic, you are a hipster. Just come out of the closet. Nothing wrong with working class attire either. It's rather nice actually if you do it old-fashioned way.

We need a thread about gays menswear. :police:

Speaking of the gasgronemius. I had a severe muscle cramp or contraction that gave my such an intense pain. Sometimes I get it in my foot but it hasn't happened in 2 years. Any ideas why I had that spasm?

I wonder if the Filioque quarrel could be solved just by popes and patriarchs going to sauna together. He who stands the heat longest could dictate whether the Holy Spirit proceeds also from the Son.

So, a Finnish bishop would be first among equals?  Makes as much sense as anything else! :D

We don't have a pope or a patriarch but I don't think many would object idea of Father Christmas as the highest hierarch. At least kids would love it.

Fedoras are homo.

Fedoras can engage in sexual activity?!?!?!?!

I never ask my hats if they're gay or straight. I figure it's not my business.

It is if you plan on putting them on your head.

Indeed!  Things could get rather raucous and uncomfortable "up there".  Just imagine what it might do to your hair!!! :o :o :o

My hat is a lady.
