I was at Macy's yesterday and you'll never believe what I saw.

STARTER NFL JACKETS!! Official and its pullover style from the 90s.

They wanted 160.00!!!
How many did you get?  Can you pick me up one for Christmas?  Thanks.
LoL I'm not paying 160 for that.

I see how it is.  Apparently our friendship is not even worth $160.  So much for following the whole if someone asks for your cloak, give him your shirt too.  I was hoping for a Ben Roethlisberger jersey from you too.  Psht.  No one is a Christian these days.

I had a Chicago Bulls one and a Cleveland Browns one.  That's about the price they were back when they were very popular.  My dad paid $25 each from the factory in Korea when he was stationed there.  My parents had '49ers and my sister had Charlotte Hornets.  In the fall, living in Tennesse, we looked awesome.

Help me.

I am starting to enjoy orthonorm's posts.

Is there any hope for me or have I succumbed to the dark side?

Just lose total faith in the GOP, which you are doing now, and we are almost getting there.

Lulz at the cartoon. What you don't see in that comic strip are those you need to exploit and consume the further you get in the race.

Oh, that disillusionment has been there for awhile.  I continue to remain registered republican because my grandfather was one when he came to this country and my father has been one his whole life even though he dislikes them almost as much as I do.  I guess I can change faiths easier than I can change political parties.  laugh

My most favorite Starter Jacket story ever:

They were exchanging Starters for guns where I was. And they were interviewing some kid about what he thought of the program and went something like thing (censored):

Yo gitz wahn jacket FO a gat? Axs yoself, how many jackets yo goan git WIT a gat!

Charming.

I remember when that started happening in the 80s.  I wanted Jordans so badly back then that I probably would have killed for them too, if given the chance.

You aren't a true child of the 80s then.  It was a requirement back then to envy those with Jordans. Then, come the 90's, it was all about the Reebok Pumps and LA Gear Regulators.

Aaahh, memories. *sigh*

I am too lazy to look further.

Mine were like the ones in the middle but with more map panels and more color. I had blue on white and pink on white.

Reebok brought back the pumps BTW.

The guy with the largest Nike shoe collection ever, and its on YouTube, has the Pumps in the bathroom surrounded by turds.

He hated the shoe.

I think they are hilariously awesome.

I wear something similar in a Nike. I get compliments. Although I've had them since I played indoor. I take incredible care of my shoes. One of the many virtues I learned in the ghetto.

Don't forget to wear your No Fear shirt for extra cool points.
And when that's in the wash, maybe a nice Ocean Pacific shirt or a Fred Flintstone dressed like a whigger T-shirt.

And yes, I had a flat top.

I rock AF1's as my daily shoe.

I'm a Nikehead.

I did peg you as a flat top guy. Call it intuition or clairvoyant, I dunno, but I definitely expected that.

The kicks I've had for the longest time that I get ask a lot about and for are Nike Dunk Low Pro SB Gibson's.

I would like them were it not for the hideous pink and the obnoxious Nike swoosh on the side.

AF1 indeed, to break that elusive 5'6" barrier.

My mom didn't allow lightning bolt designs.  I was always envious of the black kids at school who got cool designs on their heads.  A couple of weeks ago, I was visiting relatives in Puerto Rico and my cousin's son (about 16 or 17 years old) comes out and I had to suppress laughter.  He had kind of a mohawk with three lightning bolts on the sides of his head.

Dude, welcome to my neighborhood. Although the designs are more Art Nouveau and pretty awesome.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The pink fuzzy, are you kidding me?!?!!?!

Post a picture of you wearing those. I don't believe it.

Post some pictures of what you looked like in the 90s. That would be a riot.

Do it! Do it! Do it!

I do own them. You obviously don't know me. Pink has been my "favorite" clothing color since I could care about what color I would wear. More than once, I got into a fight over the matter in elementary school. I remembering being rather upset of ruining my pink polo with some "bully's" blood.

I have no photos of me in the 90s. Maybe an ex or a dozen do.

I don't keep photos of myself or anyone else except for the occasional thing I do for my grandmother or joke for some dumb forced social nicety.
