I like it when people say, "Lo!", especially when they do not pair it unnecessarily with "Behold."

"Forsooth!" is used much too infrequently these days.  When I hear it, it is music to my ears.

I enjoy a good "Betwixt'' and "Hark!", but a hearty "Ho!" fills me with joy.

'Tis only the hearty ones that accomplish this feat, methinks, and they be few and far between. Grin

Hoes and rakes can make terrible company or be very helpful in gardening.

Dutch, definitely. Some Dutch curses and swear words are many times harsher than anything in English or German. You can combine some of those words in one sentence for extra effect.

I heard this one before, though the French and Italians were inverted: it was the French who had the best chefs and the Italians who had the best lovers. I wonder which is the original, though I expect the French as chefs was original, since their food used to have the greatest prestige. These days I suppose Italian food has the greatest prestige.

I think Arabic might be useful too

Then I'd have to warn myself. But Wikipedia has an article about Dutch profanity (warning: NSFW)

Well you seem to have a colorful language indeed.

I'm looking for an expression for being annoyed. We have a very apt expression for that which can be combined with other profanities fairly creatively but I wonder whether I could find even better expression from some other language. How would a Dutch express his/her annoyance in case that civilized expressions are enough?

This young pretty girl from Winsconsin visiting Chicago for the weekend tried to introduce me to Jesus this morning as as sat sipping my espressos at my usual hangout. She even claimed that God would give me a better job, as a business man maybe. I kinda like these encounters as I play along and dumb. She was married though. She kinda said it out of the blue so that i do t get the wrong impression probably.

So the transit I take every morning upgraded their buses. Like I'm talking an actually tour bus.

It is ridiculous.
