I got an email from my Dad today with the somewhat restrained title "Bad News." Turns out the 2nd floor of his house burnt up. Apparently there was remarkably little damage to the main floor, but the 2nd floor was completely destroyed. It was originally my grandparents house, which my grandfather and his brothers built themselves (one was a plumber, another an electrician, etc.) in the 50s.  After my grandmother died a couple years ago the house was left to the sons, and my Father bought out the "share" given to the other sons. I spent my weekends and summers at their house until I was about 15, at which point they became my legal guardians; so I spent a lot of time there. Also especially frustrating is that this is the 2nd time my Father has experienced a house fire in the last 15 or so years. I guess the silver lining is that he didn't lose the entire thing this time.

What do you mean the black Tom Cruise?

When Cruise got sprayed from the Mic I thought he handled himself amazingly well.

But if we are talking Oprah...

Dude you must see all the stuff that was happening around the Oprah interview. Before and after.

Haven't I sent you those links?

And you what's worse than a white rap nerd trying to put black gibberish into music nerd words? One from Britain. Wow. Watching the interview now.

It's painful.

So I got to thinking the other day about how much time I've spent on oc.net, and I figured out that I probably could have read about 1,600+ books in the time I'd spent reading/researching/posting on here. Not that I would have spent all that time reading that many books, and for that matter even if I had read all those books instead that doesn't necessarily mean I'd be any better off. It's just crazy is all. Anyway, let my folly serve as a warning to you...

Speaking of which, here's the random fact of the day: there is a wrestler in Japan named Bad Luck Fale (last part is pronounced like "folly")

Am I the only one to have had a nightmare about OC.net?

Once I had a dream about Gebre . . .

*ZING*

Well, it is true. It wasn't nightmarish per se, it was like most of my dreams, pretty dull and dumb and almost exactly like waking, except I think Gebre and I smoked pot together.

We got a long fine.

If it weren't for the pot and getting along, I might've not recalled it as a dream.

Was that prompted by Alice?

You'll have to ask her.

I like it when people say, "Lo!", especially when they do not pair it unnecessarily with "Behold."

I remember you saying you wanted to talk like Captain Ahab.

Hows that working out?

"Forsooth!" is used much too infrequently these days.  When I hear it, it is music to my ears.

I enjoy a good "Betwixt'' and "Hark!", but a hearty "Ho!" fills me with joy.

Prithee, might that be improved upon when followed by yet another "Ho!", and yet again a third??
