Did you know that the "Extra-cetological Works of Melville" are everthing that he wrote that *wasn't* "Moby Dick"?  (A college roommate was going for a Ph.D in English and M.D. was one of the books that *all* of the grad students had to read, even if one was working on a degree in Anglo-Saxon and Old Norse.  Cheesy

We'll have to apply to the High Ones of the Forum for that information, I think.

interesting question, good fellow... I don't know if I should be in that decision-making process, as I'm not an Administrator... And it would be a bit self-serving Wink

No, "Mr 3,175 posts", it is not a case of sour grapes!  Unlike you other people on this board, I have a life.
Speaking of which, I have to get ready to go over a friend's house for dinner who is celebrating Christmas today on the Old Calendar.
It's times like this (having celebrated Theophany yesterday and the Sobor of St John the Baptist today and now heading for an Old Calendar Christmas celebration) that reminds me of the Aposticha from Vespers on Palm Sunday evening, "Come, O faithful, let us quickly pass from one holy feast to another..."   Wink

Hey, the overwhelming majority of our faithful never go to Church...so it would be reasonable to assume that in order to be a 'normal' parishioner, you couldn't really go to Church except for weddings and baptisms. Wink

Oh, I think the more colourful adjectives are perfectly capable of spicing up a conversation...especially if used tastefully in the most scandalous of ways...it wasn't I who objected to your word choice.

While getting to the big one thousand is important, an even better indicator of your net geekiness is your solid 2.547 average posts per day, which puts you in 6th place in that category, behind only Matthew, Cleveland, Anastasios, OzGeorge, and GIC. Just think, if you could commit to just two most posts per day, you would be the most prolific poster here!  Wink

Other than speaking to God himself, a Serb must speak with himself in order that he get any intellectual benefit from the conversation!

Likeable yes, although quite chatty and primarily responsible for the nonsense found in the within thread!

Not only that, but he's also responsible for bringing GiC here!

Asterikos,

The problem with me posting is that the things that I really want to say to people, I don't.  Many people don't learn through common sense, or thinking.  So, I just shut up and let them get themselves deeper and deeper in their hole of dispair.   Wink Grin

I'm totally going for the 2 extra posts a day!  I may even start a thread or two!  Since I so rarely do that.  I definately want to beat GiC and Cleveland in this catagory!

Too bad their both smarter than me...lol.   Grin Wink

Oh, I understand - in Psychology they call it Personality Dissociative Disorder (what used to be called Multiple Personality Disorder).... Often times, people who think they have multiple personalities find it easier to relate with themselves than with real people Smiley

I'm not surly about losing the game; I'm surly that you forgot me on your Slava (I'm gonna keep bringing it up until wrongs are righted)... Wink

George,

I was unaware of this fact.  S1389 will automatically (and heretofore) be evicted from Serbdom (an automatic consequence of not including a friend for Slava)!  Shocked

Well, unfortunately I remember everything that happens when I'm, er, inebriated.  But having a schlivo shot with you will suffice for me.

And as a true friend of his, despite the availability of the national drink on his slava, I ask for clemency for the poor boy Wink
